The thing I hate most about it is the Ufc are clearly complicit here. The fuk is the point of weidman/rockhold 2 when weidman finished the current number 1 contender:mjlol: and rockhold is 1 fight removed from a number 1 contender/ interim title loss:mindblown:always thought silva was overated but shelby 's illogical matchmaking has made his absence felt
Fux are you saying dude, it's hump day are you drunk or high as a kite

What part? You said Weidman bytched out which is looking possible as Weidman vs rockhold 2 is in the works. The ufc are the ones that make these fights, sean shelby is the matchmaker. The fight itself makes no sense for the reasons I stated. Seems pretty straightforward to me:ld:

I see a lot of MMA twitter leaning toward Jeremy Stephens winning against Aldo and I have no clue why. I still don't think Stephens has changed much from the guy Moicano beat, still susceptible to mobile guys that can counter effectively. Aldo's speed wins to me and I don't think it's time to count him out just because Max Holloway beat him considering what Max has done to virtually everyone else in the division that has a strong ranking. I've been on fire betting lately and I think I might put some on him and then make a little fun bet on Randa Markos (honestly just never been a fan of Nina Ansaroff)

Woke up and saw that Stephens is the slight favorite now. Aside from the pettis tko I can only think of max having a couple decisions before that, seems Aldo is max most brutalized victim. I’m hoping the line changes back..

Max isn't the only common opponent though. Aldo and Stephens fought Frankie 6 months apart; Aldo put on a clinic while Stephens got completely shut out. I really think it's hype train for Stephens. This three fight win streak is over Gilbert Melendez whose last win was in 2013. Superboy whose head movement was exposed in the Cub fight and hadn't improved with Stephens. Then Emmett who hadn't made 145 lbs for 4 years including missing the weight by more than 3 lbs in his only FW victory before losing to Stephens. Those are good wins but not great ones, I wouldn't consider any of those guys top 5 in the division and I don't think anyone he has ever beaten was a top five talent at the time they lost to Stephens. In my eyes, this comes down to whether or not Stephens' chin (and leg) can last long enough for Aldo to tire out and then whether he can catch Aldo with one of those telegraphed overhands that every top tier fighter he's ever fought has been able to avoid (not counting RDA here because RDA wasn't even close to what he would become later on).

Unfortunately i think i have seen that movie, the only torres fight that is exciting is the one she lost against andrande. Shes a female guida in that if shes winning its sure to be a snoozer on the ground

JJ's takedown defense is pretty absurd though. It'll be interesting to see if Tecia can get her down and keep the fight there long enough to win rounds.

Yeah, I don't expect Tecia to be able to really take the fight to the ground. Her shorter reach against the striking of JJ will be a problem as well. She has improved as a fighter and surprised me in her last couple of performances, so I'm curious what her gameplan will be come fight night.

That was JJ pre namajunas though she knows shes not invincible anymore, we dont know how that will impact her fightin. Sans the andrande fight I havent liked the way shes looked since KK (which was her 1st fight under ATT)

I honestly think JJ is losing. She always starts out slow. By the time she establishes a rhythm it may be too late
