“Pedrita” lost a one-sided fight to Valentina Shevchenko in the co-main event of UFC Belem on Saturday night, falling via rear-naked choke in the second round after eating more than 200 punches and elbows over the course of the fight.
Speaking with MMA Fighting on Sunday afternoon, Cachoeira’s manager Tiago Okamura said that the flyweight didn’t suffer any facial fractures, but did injure her right knee early in the bout.
“She tore her meniscus and ACL in the beginning of the first round, the first time they engaged, and it went all downhill from that moment,” Okamura said. “We couldn’t do anything.”

The funny thing is that wasnt even his worst crime.. Watch the end of the fight, hes standing right over them and she clearly taps as soon as the RNC is sunk in but he doesnt even notice. She had to tap again before he called the fight.
I dont see the big deal in him letting the fight go on due to Valentina's gnp. I hate anti-climatic endings like hendricks/paul Costa where you know the finish is near but the ref gets silly.
Those strikes werent rocking cachoeiro close to unconscious(ness) and through it all whilst she wasnt protecting her face (not like she did standing or anything) she was constantly moving tryin to get to a better position. You dont just step in like a white knight because shes a girl. Fuk that

That's kinda what I mean too... I don't think is as bad if its two shaved head white dudes from New Mexico. But more than anything old girl didn't stop her activity. People going off on Yamasaki need to aim the majority of that shyt at the corner.
MMA corners LOVE to watch their people get mauled. You can't keep asking the refs to step in and call it when you know damn well your fighter doesn't have a chance.
