More retarded booking if it goes through, Thought they were setting up wonderbread vs cornbread, if they want Lawler close to a title how does beating masvidal help when he's coming off a loss?

I miss the old days when they would let ranked fighters duke it out. Then whoever emerged was pitted against the guy they want to hotshot back into the title picture (who was actually coming off a win himself)

We know MMA is unpredictable, anyone can lose any given night so you book fights in a way each fighter is in a win/lose not like weidman/gasbum.

The optimistic version; Torn Labrums can be tricky, so maybe they're just getting out ahead of the injury since they know Woodley's probably gonna need extended recovery.

The realistic version; a card with three title fights just did major numbers compared to the rest of this year's PPV's and while that's probably almost all to do with Jones/DC; it wouldn't be surprising if the suits think title fights are key to moving those PPV's now.

My honest opinion: If that's what it takes to make sure this is a five round fight instead of three, I'll give this one a pass. It needs to be a five rounder.
