I think Mauro + Goldberg could be a really good tandem just off of the energy they'll bring.

they are both play by play guys that love the sound of their own voice on paper that spells disaster

For what Goldberg lacks in knowledge, he tries to make up for with gleeful enthusiasm and it leads to some hilarious comments. His unintentional comedy is surprisingly something I've missed in the recent broadcasts.

while the commentary has certainly missed some personality he was kind of unbearable at the end. Some of his dumb quips like the timing of "it takes a lot of energy to be a rockstar" are just unforgivable. Also I hate how he'd play matchmaker in his excitement causing the casuals watching to get stupid. Like if he was still around when whittaker beat jacare he would say "bisbing get ready" totally forgetting that it's Romero until he pulls out. If he was calling holloway/aldo you know he'd say some shyt like max is the new p4p #1 or something

You're right that it could be a disaster, but I do like Bellator targeting personality for it's commentators. The contrast from UFC's new format with two experts per panel will be interesting though. They probably need someone that can give play by play to offset these two, but I'm expecting to LMAO the whole way through. At the end, those frustrating comments you talk about turned into roasting sessions for my watching clique. Hearing Rogan correct him always got me fam. I would love to see Schaub treat dude like Bryan Callen (honestly, I'd take Callen's clueless enthusiasm over Goldberg but he'd have to trim the narcissist character too much to sell him to most fans that don't get it's a bit).

The Holm/Correira card is low key pretty sick for a Singapore 8 AM set. Saffiedine vs RDA, Scoggins vs Sasaki, Covington vs Kim and you've got guys like Caceres and Doane who are usually entertaining...I won't watch live, but I'll DVR and peep it when I wake up with breakfast.

So news leaked that sources from Woodley's camp claimed he was offered Masvidal in August for the belt (replacing MM's main event likely) and that Maia is injured. Then Maia tweeted that there's no injury and he doesn't know where the rumors came from. I assume it's just a BS rumor as MMA is prone to have, but worth monitoring I guess with how the UFC has been awful handling title fights lately.

Also Korean Superboy is out of his fight with Andre Fili late July...I really liked that match-up, Fili wants a replacement and there's plenty of time. I'd like to see a game opponent, every time I think of dude i recall the battle he had with Yair at this point.

After watching this, Its hard to actually analyze somthing like them hiring Goldberg and Ranallo. They might aswell hire Bas cause they are definitely trying to appeal to the mma fanbase still stuck back in the Pride days
