So DJ is refusing to fight Dillashaw now.

Thoughts?

If he doesn't night TJ and fights another scrub at 125 jus to beat the silvanrecord will u rate em as lb for lb tops. Wld u respect him ducking a quality opponent like TJ Dillashaw an actual threat to his streak.

I've said it before, I don't buy TJ at 125 being the same threat. I think Rogan or Schaub mentioned he didn't even wrestle in college that low. Add to that, TJ already has a title fight where there could be a line forming soon and that these "big name skips the line in a new division" fights have wreaked havoc in other divisions hierarchies already...I'm actually good with DJ fighting legit 125'ers...this wouldn't be a problem had the UFC just kept Horiguchi or not rushed Horiguchi to a title shot to begin with.

I think if Aldo wins he should get an interim title shot at 155 against Tony and let Khabib get Conor... or something... I don't believe he should be fighting at 155 to prove himself dude would have literally swept through the whole 145 division. If Max wins and goes on to beat Edgar... he may need to think about moving up too cause he's cleared the division also. There should be a Aldo rematch tho if he happens to beat Aldo.

Regardless of result, I'd like Max vs Frankie and Cub vs Aldo next...rare that I can say that but Frankie already lost twice to Aldo and Cub's been on a tear plus his loss was a flash KO.

I wouldn't call Ray Borg a legit 125er he's already missed weight more than once. And this "messing up the division" talk is funny to me when the division has already been swept. 1 fight win streaks are gonna be enough for a title shot down there after DJ beats Benevidez again

I don't like the entitled nature of how its being put together it's not for the company to use DJ as a co star to dillashaw's aspirations and it's surely not dillashaw's place to demand shyt he is not at that level. The only way this match gets made is if DJ is asking for it.

I like that DJ is all RATM and like you can't just cut this aryan in on my legend like it's on layaway but :patrice: if I'm being honest this is the perfect stage to break anderson's record and for it to mean a damn. To say he needs to beat Ray Borg reminds me of when GSP would puzzy foot about moving up when the ufc had run out of legit contenders

Ray Borg has also won fights as a legit 125'er and messing up the division comes in when TJ immediately tries to jump back into the 135 lbs. title picture where there are multiple names either deserving or on the verge of earning a title shot (Cruz and Rivera immediately come to mind) simply because there aren't many compelling fights at 125. Like I said, if Horiguchi is still under contract, nobody even bothers naming TJ Dillashaw who literally has never competed at that low of a weight even in his collegiate wrestling career.

Cub vs Aldo is a wash to me Cub should see Frankie... Aldo's trainer said they have a plan for a Conor rematch.. so I see him moving up in weight to fight Tony for an interim. They won't reveal the plan until after the fight on Sat though. He needs to win. He has too much to lose and too much on the line.

I get what you're saying but 135 is probably going on hold anyway. Garbrandt wants to fight DJ too. I dont see Cruz getting that rematch unless he comes back and smokes someone which he seems reluctant to do. His feet have expired, I dont see Cruz getting back in that picture honestly

Meh, DJ doesn't have to move up. Especially not for his ungrateful haters.
Garbrandt wants to go down to fight him. Says he makes 135 easy, eating whatever he wants. He wants to do it while hes young and the weight cutting is easy.

DJ cant run from both of them
