I didn't say anything about stripping him, I'm talking about someone beating him and taking the title off of him, which can't happen when you're pulling out of multiple title fights in one calendar year(obv Jones fukked up the other).

Don't really see how this is a pointless rematch, Cormier isn't gonna sit on his ass waiting for Jones's situation to get resolved, the earliest he can come back is July and I can definitely see Nevada fukking him for much longer than that. There was no other options except Rumble and just cuz Cormier got rocked and was able to survive in one fight doesn't mean that's always gonna be the case. You gotta smarten up fam.

I mean what does he have to lose? he's practically cleaned out this new (weak) LHW division, outside of OSP I am struggling to recall what new fight they could make to get him to a title



LHW division is just as bad as the HW division was in the arlovski/Sylvia years never thought I would say that. Thank heavens for the emergence of the conor,WW,MW and SW divisions
