They made out he was going to be let off ala Romero, looks like he got the worse kind of penalty for a "tainted" supplement defense :ehh:

Jon Jones suspended for a year but the suspension starts from July 6, 2016 so he will be on the shelf for the next 8 months

Rumble and Gustafason are still relatively young but it'll be interesting how Cormier holds up.
Breh seemed like a comparatively late starter in UFC, since he's now a couple years from turning 40, and has already been waiting well over a year now to rematch Jones. That's pretty much the career capper/mountaintop for him.

But if it's another 8 months, then that probably means not just Rumble but the Gus rematch and maybe one more fight?

Just can't believe the LHW division is still as bad as it is, feels like after the strikeforce acquisition they stopped scouting :martin:

Joanna champion is mulling retirement, wants to have a baby apparently. Don't care if I sound like a cave man but this is kind of why all this equality nonsense needs to be put to bed...

Is it bad that everytime I see this thread updated this week, I immediately think someone on this 205 card got hurt?

This card is so deep this Saturday that the laws says that someone will get hurt. We crossing our fingers like a mutha.

Wasn't looking forward to Tim beating up Rashad at all so I can't fake being upset on this one.

Rashad Evans explains why he was pulled from UFC 205

Evans received a letter, while still on the plane, from the New York State Athletic Commission, informing him that he would not be granted a license to fight Kennedy on Nov. 12.

According to Evans, an Oct. 19 MRI revealed "irregular findings." He was then asked by the NYSAC to undergo further tests, which Evans says he passed.

After that, Evans, who declined to disclose the exact medical issue that came up, thought he was in the clear. And then Tuesday's e-mail came.

"I'm disappointed," Evans told MMAFighting.com. "I'm healthy. I don't want anyone worrying about me. I'm fine, physically speaking. Never felt better. It's just the commission and their rules. I guess they have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to this."

NYSAC probably did him a favor :francis:
