Aldo showed patience and countered both Mendes & Edgar in their second fight. Franklin isn't a black belt in any discipline and literally was a "freestyle" fighter. Sliva has elite BJJ and over the years has peppered his stand up with the latest addition wing chun or however it's called. Aldo legit black belt BJJ and trains boxing with Cubans. I feel like you totally disrespecting Aldo as a fighter to even have the slightest comparison. Only reason why Conor is a legit threat at lower weights is cause he has KO power. I think Aldo can truly beat him

I respect and love aldo as a fighter, but sometimes styles and matchups makes fights. And sometimes no matter how great of a fighter you are there is just 1 matchup or fighter you can't beat.
I believe Conor is that man for aldo just like Anderson was for Franklin. I think your kinda disrespecting rich franklin a bit as well. He was a black belt and a former champion who's beaten some of the greats in mma, liddell, wandy.
Aldo vs Conor though, aldo cnt use his Bjj to his favour as he cnt get down Conor as Conor is bigger and stronger than em. He cnt be overly aggressive wit lead kicks and punches cous he gonna have that Conor counter pinching stuck in back of his head. And yea aldo looked great vs Frankie and Edgar but both of those guys are smaller fighters compared to Conor. Who has now bulked up. Take in point in 5 rounds aldo didn't have the power to slump Edgar.
If aldo lookin to beat Conor in a 5 round war, that's more opportunities for Conor to get that counter punching gm going.
I luv me some aldo, but I wld have to pick Conor in a rematch. And really I don't wanna see it even. Gimme aldo vs Pettis or vs rds instead.

Franklin just recently got his black belt. He was a cool fighter, he held it down until Silva came. Liddel/Wanda are 205er's so.... they went down to fight him.... You're right about Conor being bigger we will see how Aldo handles Conor's power. Conor isn't going 5 rounds at 145 I'll tell you that much. Aldo will feast if Conor slows. Conor can get hit by them leg kicks too. I don't see Aldo taking him down to use his BJJ I'll give you that.
Maybe Conor is the dude that Aldo can't beat
but Aldo is a way better fighter than Franklin that's not to disrespect Franklin it just shows how special Aldo is. As far as the Pettis fight, I don't even care for that because Pettis is low key washed right now. Let Max go against Pettis

Full replay of the Rizin show has been posted on eversport.tv. Definitely recommend watching the show, it's not high level MMA but it was fun to watch. Skip all of the GP matches except for Mirko's match, they were boring as hell.
