it's debatable that he's holding up 145 (as aldo can easily defend the interim if there was a legit contender outside Edgar). The other division(s) he's holding up) you will have to clue me up on

Holloway is not a legit contender? :stopitslime:

It's not debatable, Conor is holding up the 145lb division. He has the actual title, he's healthy and refuses to defend that title. I don't see how you can argue otherwise.

in his own words he was offered to aldo and aldo said take a hike, "who are you to question Jose aldo"

let's be reality Connor is not coming back to 145 that belt is a gateway to superfights the onus is on Dana and co to make the call like they've done in the past. And just for argument sake if he fought aldo tomorrow wouldn't the likes of Holloway have to take another fight anyway? And if you read the original post dude said Connor is holding multiple divisions

Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
So you want to reward a dude who has held the 145 belt hostage by fight in other divisions for over a year with a fight in his hometown?

I understand Conor is THE draw, but they cant just bend over and give this dude everything he wants. Im getting tired of this dude holding up 2-3 different divisions.

Lol. It's not a reward. It's an "every body eats" situation.

He gets his Dublin fight that he wants.

Aldo gets his rematch.

UFC gets a zillion dollars and a sold out stadium

The only way they do a Dublin show with Conor is if it's a stadium.

The problem with doing it in Dublin is that the PPV will start at 3AM Dublin time. The main event will be around 5AM. It might be a hard sell to potential ticket buyers. I still think they would sell out though.

Holding up the 145 division is a myth, that divisions dead. Only non Connor fight anyone would wanna see down there is Holloway vs Aldo and that's debatable cause Holloway is on a8 fight streak and nobody gives a fukk.

Too bad he's not as good looking and charismatic as Cody NoLove :heh:

The time isn't an issue.

To my knowledge, he didn't say take a hike. Aldo said he would prefer to fight Pettis.

Holloway is on a 9-fight win-streak with wins over Lamas, Stephens, Oliveira and Swanson. I believe he has the longest winning streak in the 145lb division. How is he not a legit contender? :mindblown:

I just don't see them doing Conor in Dublin anytime soon. Conor almost exclusively fights in Vegas nowadays (last 4 fights in Vegas). NYC is a different story obviously.

The problem with Holloway is that they haven't given him the marquee win. He's beaten the who's who of top 10-4 guys for years now without getting a shot at the main draws (Franky, Aldo, Mendes, rematch with Conor). He's deserved one of those cats for a while now and an emphatic win would finally get him the attention he deserves.

lets not play semantics the fight was offered and he opted for another fight against a dude who is trying to get acclimated to the division and lacking confidence. Maybe he is dodging maybe it that Holloway is not a name either how going to a D with lamas and stephens aint going to leave a lasting impression with fans

dude the subject is about connor supposedly holding up the division whether Holloway is a legit contender or not is irrelevant but your propensity to use him only drives the point that the belt isn't stifling the division all the more. As connor already beat the both of them and edgar has work to do, UFC could easily make aldo/Holloway if push came to shove but wont

if bisping can sell out that time in England , Mcgregor can sell him vs __________ in ireland with no prob. he's the only sports star worth a shyt from that country.

from what i've read, The stadium that they would put it in (Croke Park) is in a residential area so that might be the hold up if they ever did a show there

Was that boxing fight at 3am? It's going to be winter in Ireland that is just too much to ask of fans
