Top lightweights collide for the first time on September 17, when No. 8-ranked Dustin Poirier faces No. 10-ranked Michael Johnson in the five-round UFC Fight Night main event at State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas.

The Fox Sports 1-televised card marks the promotion’s first event in Texas since UFC 192 in Houston on October 3, 2015.

In the co-main event, it will be a meeting of middleweight contenders, when No. 9-ranked Uriah Hall battles No. 10-ranked Derek Brunson.

Plus, three other main card bouts were made official Monday, as Abel Trujillo takes on Evan Dunham in lightweight action, Manny Gamburyan meets Alejandro Perez in a bantamweight bout, and hard-hitting featherweight Sam Sicilia returns to take on Gabriel Benitez.

In a pair of prelim bouts, it's a bantamweight bout between Joey Gomez and Jose Quinonez, and a featherweight contest pitting Chas Skelly against Maximo Blanco.

30 million :damn: No wonder he was crying at the press conference.

I hope what happened to Cyborg doesn't make them change the rules pertaining to knee strikes. This isn't an injury that occurs on a consistent basis and was pretty much a freak thing like a broken bone from a leg kick.

To be honest I rather they fix the eye poking issue than going for the knee to face strikes.

Jon Jones is admit that he didn't take the banned substances on purpose and has gotten himself the best attorney that handles this kind of stuff.

OSP spitting the truth:
"On June 18th, Jon Jones was caught taking Post Cycle Therapy (PCT) drugs. This means he was on some form of Performance Enhancing Drugs (PEDS) before this date. The only real questions are: When did he start taking them? Was it before his fight with me or after? There are not many people who can answer this question, but Jon Jones is one of them. So, I am asking: When did you start taking PEDS Jon? I wanted to fight the best fighter in the world, but I did not sign up to fight a cheater. So, be a stand-up person, tell us all the truth. We all know you were on PEDS because you got caught taking PCT drugs. Just tell the world the truth."
