Never knew Ariel didn't see the fights live he stays in the media room. He should be one of the guys who gets the post fight interview in the octagon. Not Joe rogan :wow:

That's crazy because you see that creep iole and that fat dilbert haircut looking dude at the media table cage side all the time

Let's forgot about all this ariel/dana and ufc crap.

Kimbo slice has passed away man. No matter what some have thought about his fights lately he has entertained us in da past and changed the game by gettin discovered off YouTube.

Rip big homie

:leon: after all the shyt Helwani was revealing on radio today I'm surprised Dana and em ain't double down, he really forced them to lean back

If that tweet is true it would be in everyone's best interest like i said Zuffa would actually be cutting their nose to spite their face by completely shutting down one of UFC's biggest free marketers. Ariel has a slew of followers and in many ways is every bit as important to the sport as zuffa, buffer and Rogan are/were.

His firing was also a PR nightmare for zuffa, a lot of the mainstream media and known sport analysts got in on it. You see the end of his show today where he's weeping having lost his job and and it was just a bad look. He's been humbled and will probably go back to being a shill so both parties win

He was our generations Butterbean but even better. Many fighters since have gotten discovered off YouTube maybe not make the big show, but picked up in some solid training camps and gyms.

Hopefully every mma promotion in US does what's right and have a moment of silence for Kimbo b4 the opening fight.

Wow, this is incredibly sad :mjcry:

I'm sitting here on the same couch and in the same position I was in back in February watching Kimbo fight, and now I see that he's dead. This is just heartbreaking and mind boggling. He was supposed to fight next month, and now he's gone. It's sobering to think about how fragile life is.

He wasn't the best fighter in the world, but very few people could create a big fight atmosphere the way he did. There will never be another guy like him in the fight game.

Exactly. He pioneered using the Internet to become a "name" and brought his YouTube audience that he earned over to MMA with him. ratings proved that.

They owe him the courtesy.
