Holm has much more experience than Correia and has a solid boxing background as well holding several championships with WBF, WBC, WBA, WBAN, IBA, etc. Correia just started fighting in 2012. Holm has been boxing since 2002 and transitioned into MMA in 2011. I know everyone wants Cyborg/Ronda and it will eventually happen, but Holm will be the biggest threat to Ronda yet. Especially when it comes to striking and kicking.

Thanks for not posting an ignorant non-researched reaction. Boxing background is interesting because that's where Ronda is weakest. Her gas tank has never been tested. If I were Holly's coach, my plan would be to box with a Lyoto type distance to minimize getting taken down or clinched. Just spam the jab button and keep circling left for 2 rounds and let's see if Ronda gets tired. If so keep spamming jab and throw in some straights and hooks but never ever fight from the inside. Ronda just needs to get her paws on Holly for 2 seconds and it'll be all over, Joe.

Right, which is why hopefully Holly is working on her footwork to anticipate keeping the distance a la Lyoto Machida. Straight up train for a running a marathon backwards. LOL!

I've said for a while now, Holm has the BEST SKILLSET to take on Rousey. That's not to say she'll win, I think it's too early for this match...but her evasiveness, footwork and hands give her an ability to control distance are the abilities I've been dying to see Ronda deal with. This is a unique test for her and who knows how her gas tank would hold up if she didn't grab Holly early on (which is a lot harder than she gets credit for). I'm expecting a Bethe Correia type odds line and I'll risk the money on a bet because I think Holm has a better shot than she'll be given by the masses. She could get smoked though, I wish she got another two fights before this...one vs a grinder and one vs a top 5'er.

Naw. She's very predictable in her striking and movement. And she throws volume kicks. Too soon for her and even still she would never beat Ronda. Ronda RD 1

Legit rather watch that then Rousey vs Tate 3. And I'm curious to see Greg Jackson's game plan for Holm and if she can keep the fight at distance. All this assuming she doesn't get bull rushed and taken down in the first 30 seconds of the fight.
