If you ever get in a fight outside the clubs or whatever, and you land a leg kick to their thigh, knee or side of the shin, and watch their face go from to a combination of and it will all be worth it.The brehs I've been sparring with at my S&C gym have been trying to convince me to take MT for the longest and I'm finally starting to think about it.
I do well against them in our boxing sparring but kicks and shyt idk
I've been meaning to give some new fitness shyt a try it's either going to be this or Yoga I'm going to decide by Sun, any Muay Thai brehs in here? any thoughts?

if you're worried about shots to the head, there's always the option of punching to the chest. many dudes train that way to avoid unnecessary contact with the head.
I'm no pro, since I've only taken a few classes before, but as a boxing head I'm sure you'll appreciate the kicks giving you extra tools and range.
nothing like a nice plumEven a simple putting someone in the plum.
I had cats actually yelling "let me go and fight like a man" in my security days simply because they didn't know what to do about getting out of that clinch. I wouldn't even attack them just push em around in it to make em feel silly
Muay Thai pairs up real nice with a boxing background because people barely know how to use their hands and most definitely have no clue what to do when their legs are attacked in a street fight.
nothing like a nice plum
i remember getting pulled around a bytch by these lanky thai brehs. I swear to god their necks are literally made of the shyt you use in suspension bridges. after a 45 minute session i had to get a shorty to rub my neck and keep the ice on
and when they land a knee to your solar plexus
i don't even know what to call it but i can only describe it as insane stutterbreath combined with nerve synapse overload/misfires
i was trying to secure my own plum, landing some bodyshots and trying to push him against the ropes
POW he effortlessly lands the knee
had me
now i know why they banned clinch knees in k1getting caught with a knee in the solar plexus while breathing in = an experience I wouldn't wish on an enemy. I know exactly what ur describing
Jorge Masvidal has a new bout scheduled.
Following a controversial split decision loss to Al Iaquinta, Masvidal will move up to the welterweight division and meet Cezar Ferreira, who drops from 185 for the first time, at the TUF 21 Finale event in Florida on July 12.
Ferreira announced the bout following a report by Brazilian journalist Ricardo Carlini.
Masvidal (28-9) returns to the welterweight division for the first time since a decision loss to Paul Daley in 2010. Masvidal went 8-3 as a lightweight in the UFC and Strikeforce, most recently defeating Pat Healy, Daron Cruickshank and James Krause in the UFC.
"Mutante" (8-4), winner of the first season of TUF: Brazil, cuts down to 170 pounds after a 4-2 run as a middleweight in the UFC. The Blackzilians fighter holds UFC wins over Sergio Moraes, Thiago Santos, Daniel Sarafian and Andrew Craig.
Speaking to MMAFighting.com in March, Ferreira explained his decision to cut weight.
"I believe I will have advantage because of my reach and height," Ferreira said. "I cut weight pretty easily. While other middleweights are eating salad on fight week, I’m eating potatoes and pasta. It was a wise decision to move to 170."
TUF 21 Finale will take place in a yet-to-be-announced venue in Miami, Fla., and features Ben Henderson vs. Michael Johnson in the main event. The two other bouts already confirmed are Josh Samman vs. Caio Magalhaes and Michelle Waterson vs. Angela Magana.
he's the Brazilian that got KO from Sam Alvey then made a post about how he was paralyzed during his fight camp right? It's hard being a fan of Mutante, dude let's me down constantly.
But I'm hoping moving to 170 is good for him. His chin just wasn't going to hold up against 185ers.

bur intresting match up, ones coming up in weight and the other is coming down
Here we go again. DC fought one top 5 guy in his career and promptly lost getting tossed around like a sack of potatoes. We don't want to hear about DC beating Old Man Hendo, Barista Cummins, Lethargic Frank Mir, One Trick Pony Roy Nelson and underachieving Josh Barnett no more, them dudes are either washed up or were never relevant to begin with. DC is a fraud and Rumble is going to put an end to him. It's like people forgot how dominant DC has been against everybody not named Jon Jones. I'm not saying he's going to walk through Rumble, but I don't think it's going to be nearly as competitive of a fight as people think. DC isn't Phil Davis or Little Nog, and he's not going to fold like Gus.
If anyone wants to watch it again
Yea it does... One of the best right now who blends it well together is kickboxer Nieky Holzken..Muay Thai pairs up real nice with a boxing background because people barely know how to use their hands and most definitely have no clue what to do when their legs are attacked in a street fight.
Hunt's face after the fight.... :lupegarvey:
