This goes to all athletes. Not just Black ones. One bad test and everything you've ever done comes into question.
This situation is a lot different considering Anderson's leg. but lets not act like they just started doing tests, he was presumably clean in all the other fights. In a career full of KO and TKO victories why is his legacy tarnished?

This is the fight game. Hendo's wins don't have asterisks. Nor chael's. Do ppl question Chuck with his drug use?

Ummmmmm... They do... Hendo, Chael and all of them with PED or TRT in their history have asterisks in my book... We don't really scrutinize them as much because they're not in the conversation as GOATs. When you're in the realm of the GOATs, you get the magnifying glass treatment.

If someone on here starts arguing that Chael is one of the GOATs, let's see how quickly the TRT topic gets brought up..

that's a matter of opinion nothing more
Opinion on what? Whether or not I think using PEDs damages your legacy? Ask every baseball HOFer with a * next to their name if it did.

Look, I'm as big of a Silva fan as they come. Even defended him through those weird Cote, Leites, Maia fights. But unless they can prove these results are wrong, OR somehow go back and prove without a doubt that he wasn't cycling PEDs in any of his past fights, then it's just a matter of fact his legacy is tarnished.

nothing but kos and tkos then he has 2 decisions and it's what's wrong with Anderson? 8years undefeated then he has 2 recorded losses and it's he needs to retire. 18 years in the biz, damn near a decade of which in the ufc dominating cleanly, one failed drug test and it's "legacy tarnished" "those wins now have asterisks"

Can you guess what colour he is :beli:
:ld: not a bad promo, ufc ain't really interested in the Kaufman business obviously so she needs to do more of this and less of twitter where she comes off as a bytch

I personally don't echo those views. My opinion of Silva remains the same. Watching his previous fights, my reaction is still goddamn he makes it look stupid easy!! However, I will be looking at the Diaz fight with a pinch of salt and disappointment.

Miesha is piff but comes off as a bytch so I just wanna see her lose. Kaufman could be up to it

Roman Brady bringing up race? We've never seen that before :mjlol:

This has very little to do with race. If this was GSP or Fedor (other GOAT contenders) testing positive for PEDs, they would be facing the same criticism/backlash.

If Kobe or Lebron were to test positive for PEDs, I'm positive most of the Coli would say their legacy's are tainted.

You are comparing ]chalk and cheese, in nba its a lot easier to cycle and evade clearly bron and wade are abusing and they've never been caught if they did slip up ofcourse one would have to relook their feats like :patrice:. In mma its much more difficult, if anderson wasnt popped in his 18 year career its cuz he was clean this ish is all about his leg and what he took to fasten the healing process

Recently, drug testing in MMA has gotten more strict (introduction of random blood/urine testing for some main event fighters). But before that, it was ridiculously easy to beat a drug test. It still is for most fighters who only have one pre-fight test and one post-fight. That's it. For a fighter to fail, they would have to fukk up real bad. Take it for what it's worth, but I'm pretty sure this is the first time Anderson was randomly drug tested (blood & urine) in his UFC reign.

Nobody truly knows if Anderson was clean or not throughout his UFC career.

Before the recent change in the out of competition drug testing done by the AC & the UFC for primarily main event fighters (introduced around December 2013), the NBA's drug testing policy was more strict than the UFC's. 4 potential random urine tests across the season is more difficult to beat than a pre and post fight urine test (which the UFC still uses for many fighters).

if nba's testing procedures are more stringent then the governing body overseeing the process are more susceptible to corruption cuz you know who is using just by the optics
