hate to say it but Master Teacher on the right side of this arguement

nikkas talking like Page got "exposed" fresh off a Unanimous Decision win where he took under 15 or 10 hits the whole damn night, wasn't close to being hurt once, showed a good ground game, didn't get a single memorable shot landed on him, didn't get outmuscled in the clinch, outstruck his opponent by a WIDE margin. I mean where is the bar here? :why: The only way his win could have been more dominant is if he KO'd his oppenent in the first round like everyone else.

Master Teacher stanning hard for his man but the same folks critiquing Page was hyping Eddie Alvarez despite the endless sloppy wars he was involved in (including an L) just for him to fizzle vs Cowboy.

Master Teacher is arguing that a relatively green 170 pound fighter with potential can KO Machida and submit Weidman. Page did not get exposed, but he looked okay against a sub-par opponent. He still has a lot of proving to do. I agree that Burrell came into to hug rather than fight. But, to say Page showed no weaknesses is crazy. And Page did [for the most part] get out-muscled in the clinch.

At the end of the day, Page is still a largely unproven & exciting fighter with promising upside.

And you can't compare Alvarez [and his situation] to Page.

What weaknesses did Page show tho? I can't think of a single aspect Burrell had Page in.

And no he did not outmuscled in the clinch. Burrell spent the majority of the fight leaning on Page not advancing position. Took him down only once and lost position immediately. Page reversed positions and escaped a bunch of times. He showed a lot of good with his clinchwork, it just wasn't as dominant as his striking

Page doesn't have any inside striking and seems to be pretty one-dimensional when it comes to throwing strikes. He has time to improve, of course, but I don't know if he can pull all of that shyt against a good wrestler.

Speaking of WSOF, why the fukk are they running a show the same day as Bellator/UFC? Are they trying to go out of business?

As for the event, is Shields fighting for that Canada belt?

Page did barely anything in the clinch. I agree that he did hit a few nice switches/reversals, but for the most part, was controlled/out-muscled against the cage. Even in the striking exchanges, although Page had the upper hand, he wasn't landing much and his strikes weren't very effective. He did show good TDD, which was a positive. And the instances where Page had Burrell against the cage, he didn't really do much either [no knees, punches, elbows, etc]. Like I said, an okay performance against a middle of the road fighter.

Pretty meh WSOF card. Shields did what was expected in getting the early sub. The guy who won their HW fight looked decent in quickly winning the belt.
