Oh shyt! McGregor vs Diego Sanchez November 15th in Mexico City. Thats whats up right there

Doubtful. Stylistically a nightmare(Diego a relentless wrestler who cannot be stopped). Dana would never allow this. Wasn't Diego fighting Norman Parke? I haven't heard anything about an injury.

Edit: Hold on its Sanchez :mjlol: But Connor won't finish him tho

Conor and his coach both just tweeted it, so unless they are trollin it is happening. Conor smashes Diego too when is the last time you saw Diego use his wrestling? He'll easily get pulled into one of his brawls and Conor will knock him out early imo

:patrice: Conor jumping weight classes

Hes fought and was duel fw/lw champ in Europe. There was an interview yest ironically talking about him jumping up to 155lb. I don't like it imo. Hes a big lanky fw in the UFC. He won't have that advantage at 155 and the wrestlers(Khabib, Khabilov, Benson) would destroy him imo

They've been talkin shyt to each other for a couple years now and the UFC sees it as a way to bump the pay per view numbers for that card. They will have a better buildup than Conor-Dustin had and Conor will have Diego mad and ready to come in there swingin crazy. They probably see it as an easy win for Conor that will boost his name even more. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone....

That's true. Okay. I thought he was moving up to LW at this time given his comments about not liking making FW a few days ago. If it's just a one-off fight, that's cool.

If Sanchez catches him and gets a KO/TKO though... :pachaha:

Whats everyone thoughts on this weekends doubleheader? That Stockholm card is very ehh. Gunnar vs Story is intriguing tho. I'm not sold at all on Gunnar as even a top five guy. He looked pretty blah against Cummings and outside of a few big counters, Jorge Santiago was tagging him. Hes like Machida with less urgency. And that stance is ridiculous esp with his low output. Story has good boxing/wrestling. He will make this competitve, esp since Gunnar stands like a statue with is hands down. But Gunnar will get this to the ground and finish with GnP or a sub. Story always had average TDD. The canada card. I think Assuncao washes Caraway. Just better all around. I actually think Saffeidine upsets MacDonald. Lawler exposed Macdonald and his struggles against technical strikers with solid footwork. And he is very flatfooted and doesn't check kicks whatsoever. We know Saffeidine had good leg kicks and has crisp technical boxing. If Macdonald can't pin you against the cage and maintain distance with his jab/front kick then he really has nothing since his wrestling is very overrated. I expect Tarec to get the decision here

:laff:Poor Cub gonna off himself.

If champion Jose Aldo is victorious at UFC 179 against Chad Mendes, UFC President Dana White said McGregor may be the logical new No. 1 contender.

“Here’s the thing: If you go down the list, every one of those guys has fought Jose Aldo already,” White told UFC.com in his weekly interview, referencing the top ranked featherweight fighters. “Conor hasn’t. So who do you line up next for the champ other than Conor? Everybody else has fought him.”

I feel bad for Cub, he's easily the most deserving contender in the division. But, business wise, McGregor vs Aldo/Mendes trumps any other potential title fight.
