Lol just read what I typed lol and I don't even understand it

Ummm basically I'm not understanding when to boost or cut frequencies on a eq. Or what sound uses such and such fqs ....I'm so lost
That's the beauty of it mane it ain't no rules really! On the most basic level you cut what you don't like and boost what you don't like....on a deeper level you could cut something on one track to free up room so another track sounds like it's boosted lol....morale of the story watch a alot if YouTube tutorials grasp the concepts and go twist knobs and eventually it will click

eqing, at it's core, is pretty simple. seems like you're way over-thinking it.

some basic stuff you can do is solo shyt and listen (and i guess watch) to what frequencies those instruments are hitting, get a general feel for where things lay in the frequency range, learn that. listen to what happens to a sound when you're boosting or cutting. play around with the q, see what happens when you do wide boosts, narrow cuts, vice versa etc. play the whole beat and start making eq moves to a certain instrument and listen to it in the context of the mix. think about the relationship between elements and the frequences they take up. ie - the kick and the bass. you don't want both your kick and your bass booming at like 80hz, so how can you use eq to help with that...figure it out.

basically, stop watching eleventy-hundred youtube vids about it or whatever you're doing and just play around with it yourself. you'll figure it out.

No MPC ren and I am using tdr nova to eq

Bro thanks for tips ....it really helps

ok well there's other plugins that do noise removal.

wtf lol.

come on man. those are two opposite things. think about what a low pass filter and a high pass filter are actually doing.

if the the "air" is an issue, find the the frequencies that are bothering you and deal with them.

seriously, it's way simpler, faster and skill-building to figure it out yourself instead of trying out all kinds of random, generic youtube advice until you find something that works for this particular problem.

Lol didn't get that advise from YouTube....I was just fukking around lol

I should clarify. When I put the lp it removed the air and when I put the hp I hear the air ...I didn't put them both on at the same time

To get that perfect sound without the sample being muffled to the point that it sounds completely different you have to mess with the "cut" or ""Cutoff" parameter to isolate those specific frequencies with either your high or low pass filter. Otherwise you won't get the exact sound you want.

I got a whole lot to work on smh....how to find the key of sample, mixing drums etc ... understanding compression
Just break it down into pieces. Try focusing on one area a week, and then when you get better focus on one area every 6 days, then repeating the process one area every 5 days and so on, till you're focusing on one area a day and then after that focusing on the total picture all at once. I think you get the most out of the learning curve that way.

Ok trying to figure out how to remove the hissing sound out of my drum loop without damaging the sound of the loop :snoop:

@producingfire

I'm mixing in studio one 2... Trying to find a version of x noise or z noise that's compatible
