It's more then that our O-line was just as average as Speight. This team lost 3 games by a combined 5 points all leads they had at the end but lost. It's easy to blame Speight but the team as a collective unit didn't get it done.We don't have any difference makers on offense period.Darboh was good but give me Mike Williams in heartbeat over anybody in our WR core that kid is special.Leggett same thing combined with great QB we see the results
Any team would take a mike Williams but there is like 3 kids in the country like him.

I hate the fact that it feels like I'm always shytting on Speight, but at the end of the day, he's the QB. Instead of getting comfortable with the lead, he should've put his foot on opposing teams' throats. I saw checkdown after checkdown and to me, that's the sign of a sack less quarterback.

You can't tell me there was NEVER anything there, so he decided to check it down. :stopitslime:

Not too far off, the talent base is improving so much at WR, RB, DE and in the secondary. We have OL issues, but I really think that'll solve itself because we will continue to dominate the state of MI as Sparty slides downward.
Yeah I'm hopeful for 2018&beyond 17 is a bridge year imo

Speight is what he is just like the o-line &Smith are average.A lot of it might have to do with his conservative nature of the playcalling.I honestly don't know what we do next season with O-line so green. One thing all of us can agree on Speight has a ton of room for improvement:manny:Y'all know me enough I hate blaming 1 guy it's unfair imo

When Harbaugh took the job I expected 2017 to be 7-5 real rebuild season as a bridge for a bright future. With back to back top 5 classes headlined by Gary & DPJ, and a senior QB that made all big ten in Speight, there's no reason at all we can't win 10 games and battle to win the conference. If Peppers returns then the sky is still the limit.

I remember when Rich Rod went all over and beyond to get Pryor and lost out while RG3 was right there the entire time being ignored and ended up with Tate & Denard. Supposedly we lost Eno Benjamin from the Harris chasing, hopefully we didn't lose out on anyone else that could've been helpful while chasing Harris. Difference being that QB decided the whole class in 09 lol

8-4 9-3 10-2 we have a tough schedule Florida @PSU @Wisconsin(week before OSU) OSU at home is brutal especially for a young team

This game proves we have a long way to go as a program Clemson has difference makers:wow::mjcry:
Clemson has a experienced qb and a NFL receiver. Their oline was getting pushed around. If bama had a qb that game would've been a different story.
