Coach Harbaugh to the team during their first meeting…

Its simple guys…you want to wear earrings? Go ahead. Beards? Fine. Cleats in the building? We will get new carpet. All I ask of you is this…Go to class and WIN football games. That’s all I care about. If you go to class and win football games, you can do whatever you want. Deal? Let’s get to work.
---

The story continued with JH pulling up last year's record and saying, you guys haven't won squat so you get to do none of things I mentioned besides go to class.

---

The tone was one of let's get to work. Everything else is just noise. Go to class and Win. Period. If you take care of that, everything else will take care of itself. We don't need to have talks about no guns or not hitting women or stop getting in trouble. We don't have those kids in A2. JH knows that. He wants to win football games and for the kids to be student athletes. Pretty simple.

--
between recruiting and family JH has not been around much. JH is wrapping up some West Coast family stuff right now. Minick (US Colonel, Director of Football operations) is pretty much in charge, along with the other coaches.
----

there's a whole lot more going on with this team that needs to be addressed besides just going to class. The team chemistry needs to get fixed.

---

Harbaugh---(as he mentioned in yesterdays press conference)----wants every player to get a "fresh start" and that means no pre-conceived evaluation of any player---which means coaches are not watching tape from a yr ago.

Harbaugh is a master subliminal recruiter. If he didnt recruit a star QB this year, we are certain to get one next year (hope its Costello)

Jameis Winston: Michigan resources 'so much more advanced' than Florida State

Winston on Harbaugh: "I wish I could have played for him."

Two of college football's best quarterbacks trained with quarterback guru George Whitfield, Jr. at the University of Michigan this week. Former Florida State Heisman winner Jameis Winston and two-time Baylor Big 12 champion Bryce Petty are each preparing for April's NFL Draft, and came away extremely impressed with their time in Ann Arbor, based on their quotes in a video on the Wolverines' site.

Both quarterbacks spoke very highly of the training facilities available and new head coach Jim Harbaugh, a former NFL quarterback himself. With one and possibly two first-round draft picks talking up Michigan's resources so highly, it's hard to think of too many recruiting pitches more effective than this.

On facilities:

Winston: "These guys don't know how blessed they are to have this kind of facility. I mean, Florida State, we're a very prestigious school, we have nice stuff, but we don't have this. I'm sorry, I love Florida State. Go 'Noles till the day I die, but they're so much [more] advanced than us."

(Michigan's 104,000-square foot indoor facility opened in 2009 and is about the same size as FSU's, which opened in 2013. Baylor's is about 73,000 square feet.)

Petty: "This is bar none the best one that I've seen. We've got great ones in Waco, you know I love what we had at Baylor, and so it's cool to kind of see other places, and this is definitely by far one of the best I've seen."

SB Nation presents: Jameis Winston as the top pick in the NFL Draft

On Harbaugh:

Petty: "If there's anybody that you want to play for as a player, it's a coach like him. Just a fan, energetic guy, passionate about football. From the second he came over here he was sizing up Jameis and wanted to see his grip. He's just a quarterback. And that's the coolest part about playing the position and being coached by somebody that's been there and done that."

Winston: "It was a blessing to meet a guy like that. It was an honor to meet him. All of his accomplishments, and the type of coach that he is, I wish I could have played for him."

Sort of feel bad for dude...his career was ruined. Granted he wasn't good but better coaching could have advanced his game. Instead he regressed. And he didn't get enough WR time to get on anyone's radar (NFL).
he was the biggest class act i've seen since tim massaquoi at michigan too. too bad

Randy Moss' Son Thaddeus Picks Up Michigan Offer, Expect More Teams to Follow
The recruiting process for 3-star tight end/defensive end Thaddeus Moss has been a slow trickle, but it's one that continues to go in a positive direction. On Wednesday, Moss picked up an offer that could help push his recruitment to another level.

Moss, the son of NFL wide receiver great Randy Moss, tweeted that he received an offer from the Michigan Wolverines. He confirmed that tight ends coach Jay Harbaugh extended the offer with Bleacher Report but declined further comment.

At 6'4" and 240 pounds, Moss can play defensive end at the next level, but he's ranked the nation's No. 24 tight end. Physically, he's a bulkier version of his father, and while he has some similarities, he's more of a different athlete overall.

Per 247Sports, Moss has additional offers from North Carolina State, Duke, Boston College, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, UMass and Charlotte. For those who enjoy the legacy stories, Moss also has an offer from his father's alma mater, Marshall.

The offers could skyrocket in the upcoming months as more schools watch his highlights and see him in action during the spring. Moss in December told Michael Clark of Scout.com that Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina and West Virginia were showing interest.

On film, Moss makes for an impressive flex tight end. He can line up as an H-back, but his strengths are lining up wide and posing a problem for smaller defensive backs. Like his father, he likes making the catch at its highest point.

Moss has soft hands and a good stride after the catch. He can be a reliable target in red-zone passing situations. These qualities and others have caught the attentions of several college coaches—most recently, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh and his son, Jay.

Defensively, Moss is a player who has a good nose for the football. He likes to make plays in the trenches and disrupts plays with his athleticism. With Jay Harbaugh extending the offer, however, look for Moss to see the majority of his time on the offensive side of the ball.

That is, if he ultimately chooses Michigan. He is hoping to take some visits soon, and he took part in North Carolina's junior day last month, according to his 247Sports timeline. You can bet that the Harbaughs will do their part in an effort to land him and make him a weapon in the Big Ten.

Damn I'm getting old :ld:
