I have a feeling we're all going to be really happy starting next season. Will be rated top ten preseason and hopefully will have fixed our linebacker problems with Bush,Kelly and D.Jackson who as of right now I think we lead for all of them. Not to mention Lamar Jackson,David Long and Rashan Gary. We might just finish with one of the greatest defensive hauls we've ever seen.

Glad there are some Michigan fans that agree with me and @Trust Me
Our linebackers are poor athletes who don't do well in space at all. Our secondary has two really good players Peppers and Lewis the rest of the guys are alright but really aren't anything that scares people. Now our D line is very,very good. It's not elite cause we don't have a pass rushing threat but it's a very,very good line. College football as a whole is down this year. The teams we beat are bad teams with maybe the exception of BYU but even they're iffy. The fact that we're 6-2 right now is amazing considering when you factor in how many holes we have on this team on both sides of the ball. Harbaugh should get coach of the year and our staff should all get assistant of the year awards if we go 9-3 like I think we will. Even at 8-4 it's one of the premier coaching jobs I have seen. The guy has no Quarterback, no running back and our Offensive line is average at best and that is being nice.

Let me put it like this. There are 7 teams ranked ahead of or below us with a clear talent gap. You're comparing our talent to championship winners and not the field. Im seriously starting to wonder if you watch other teams outside of Michigan. It is literally impossible to do that and say what you're saying. We need upgrades but so does everyone else.

Breh, I get what you're saying. We might have as many holes as most schools out there, but the difference is that gap.
For example, lets bring up LB for instance. I'd rate this overall LB core a 4/10. Clemson should be right around where we are as far as talent. Lets say that LB is a hole on their team also. But they're rated 6/10. That 2/10 might not seem like much of a difference, but when you add the 2/10 or the 3/10 or even the 1/10 deficiencies on all of our glaring holes .. the overall talent level becomes more and more noticeable. I dont even know if that makes sense. shyt.. it might not.
It does to me tho.
Also, I live in Orlando. I'm forced to watch SEC football, with talent spread all over all of these teams... while they lack only good coaching. We're not close. Trust me.
But we're on the right track, and we'll get there sooner rather than later.
