David Long JR Update

David Long arrived in Ann Arbor this morning to begin his official visit, and was nice enough to give Wolverine247 a full update about how his visit has gone so far.
"My visit is going great," Long said. "I was with Coach Harbaugh and his wife for about an hour just talking about my fit into the program and stuff. I was in some academic meetings also and got to meet with multiple members of the staff as well. It's been awesome so far and I'm excited for the game tomorrow."
Michigan has arguably recruited Long harder than any other program, and have been recruiting him at a high level with multiple members of the staff maintaining contact.
Jim Harbaugh's message was one of the stronger you're going to hear on the recruiting trail.

"Coach said I can be a "do it all" guy for Michigan," he said. "What he said he meant by that was that I can be a difference maker for them on the field, and can be a difference maker for the Michigan brand and the program as a whole. It was really surprising to hear that from someone like Coach Harbaugh because I never really even looked at myself that highly. The staff as a whole just seems to be really excited about me and excited about what I could potentially bring to the program. Besides that talk and the football stuff, it was just learning more about me as a person and talking about life stuff."
Long is on his official visit alone, but says the absence of parents is not going to diminish Michigan (or other schools) and their chances with him. He currently has no other official visits scheduled and says he "probably" will take one to Washington. Long is currently ranked 66th overall according to the 247Sports Composite ranking and is the 7th ranked cornerback in the 2016 class.
Steve Wiltfong added this:Told you guys. They unrolled the same red carpet they had out for Rashan Gary. David Long is covered in the same breath as Gary and Jean Delance. Long is a one-man show when it comes to his decision. Him coming alone is irrelevant.
