yo were can I find some dope plugins and some dope drum kits from top producers?
Good question, to be honest I dont really fukks with any of those. Do you use any DAWs like Pro Tools, Live, Logic etc etc? Depending on whether they use VST or AU etc, you can find most high-end packages (n/h) on torrents

I mostly mess with samples, and my own synths. Maschine has a pretty incredible amount of presets too breh, almost all the drum kits you would need, and with a lil creativity (filtering, layering, effects etc) you can get the sounds you want.

Also, my version of Maschine came with a download voucher for NI's Kontact software which has tons of sounds too

Kinda. Set Reason to be in MIDI slave mode, and then you can assign individual instruments from your Reason rack to certain MIDI channels

Keeping Reason open, open Maschine too and you can set Groups to MIDI channels (corresponding to those set in Reason) so Maschine can play the instruments from Reason

Problem is, Maschine will only record the MIDI timecodes and not the actual sounds. Thats why I do sequencing in Maschine, but the overall mix of everything is recorded into Ableton and fully mixed and sequenced there.

Ableton can use VSTs and AUs (Im on Mac) and I prefer it to Pro Tools by a longshot to be honest :takedat:

Someone on here might know a better way tho...

Ya, its not too tough once you do it a few times tho.

Maybe youtube can help. This guy seems to get it, but that might not be what you had in mind. Theres a few ways to work the two programs together

did u get a chance to mess wit the maschine.

was messing wit it yesterday at guitar center. They let me go to work on it, nobody was in the store like that... First impressions, were the pads were official, not quite as tight as the mpc but close...coming from an XL i was shocked how quick it is to the pc no latency... I'm in the store slicing samples mpc style, but now I got my hd monitor to make the slices more precise... The sounds it comes wit are official.... nice stock drums... I don't like the Sequencing and Song Modes as much as the MPC, on maschine i think they are called scenes and patterns... I like how you can drag and drop samples... For The price you can't beat it, just make sure you get a warranty... sweetwater got the best...

On a side note the MPC Renaissance keeps calling me, but Im trying not to listen because of the price :sadbron: for just a midi controller. :wtb: plus Akai has sucked in recent years with support for there hardware

whatup, maschine owner checking in.

question: i'm trying to get it running with ableton live 8, can someone give me a breakdown of how to get the sends, in's, out's, all that? i want to have each group on it's own channel (i guess thats what you call it in ableton). there's numerous videos on youtube, but they all have different ways of doing it, and i always have an issue of sound not coming through. i'm on a mac

at this point, i don't think it matters, but i do not have an interface, strictly doing everything from usb and line-in.

i figure once i get that figured out, i'm knockin out 5 beats a day easy

if any of yall are contemplating on coppin the maschine, this was the video that sold me:

Good good thread.

I actually got my maschine beatpad next to me right now. I was finishing up a couple of new projects I was working on that I'm putting out.

I love this thing. I remember when I first got and I just kind of played around with it and let it sit for 2 years.

Then I started messing around with it last summer...and my life has not been the same since.

I used to want an MPC really bad...but honestly this does everything that does and then some. I said before in another thread that I used to have a big studip with so much stuff...but I got rid of alot of the USB controllers and keyboards I was using because Maschine just phased them out.

The funny thing is, I haven't even used this thing to it's 100% potential...and I just love what I can do with it. I'm actually making tracks I can stand by and listen to for the first time in my life! I remember making tracks using fruity loops and reason and ableton and while I liked the stuff I made...it just really sounded like presets and it didn't have my "touch" or personality in any of the tracks I made.

I can honestly make any type of music from any genre I want with this...I love it!

I took my set up to visit my boy in Baltimore two weeks ago and made a new EP...again, I love how I can just take my set up with my alesis m1320usb speakers wherever and just make tracks.

BTW...I'm going to be working with some people in the future. I'm always up to work with anybody who is down to work hard on music.
