How do you like it? I got one a few months ago, coming from MK1. Software is much much better, and way better piece of hardware.

They had Komplete 50% off over thanksgiving, so doubt it'll be on sale anytime soon.

It's pretty good. Multi core makes it much better at handling a ton of plugins, which helps a lot. I still wouldn't call it a DAW tho, the arranger is one thing that is not up to DAW standards. That's the one part of making beats where I want to send it to a proper DAW, where before I could barely sketch ideas without maxing out the CPU. Now I can build out all my loops and sections, and even start getting into some heavy sound design and light automation work before I start feeling like I need a real arranger to really go next level. The mixer makes it easier to mix, it works.

Some people really mad about certain specific things they've changed, might want to look into that. None of those things really affected me because lack of multi core had killed it for me before 2.0. I give it 7-7.5/10, if they fix the arranger it's def a full fledged beast for my work flow.

i love it so far, havent done anything serious just learning the ropes. as far as doing everything in the hardware those screens are on a whole other level.
the whole computer workflow has worked for me for a long time but i think it was beginning to wear me down. im a 90's cat, i grew up on hardware

Yeah. Even with the prior maschines, you had a lot of computer work. And now after about 3 months on the studio, I barely ever touch my computer.

Does anyone feel that maschine limits your sample chopping, creativity?

I've realized I've gotten in such a habit of cutting a exact 4 bar loop, and then auto slicing it into 16 chops so it's always on tempo.

But then I feel like this may be limiting what I can get out of a sample, or being to generic.
