This pains me to say but I didn’t like this :francis: The first episode was amazing especially the beginning montage but after he started working with Micro things went downhill. The agent Madina character was so irritating and boring. I always found myself fast forwarding every time she popped up.

Also the government cover up storyline is so overdone and I’m tired of it. I love Jon Bernthal :noah:. He’s the only good thing about this show.

I really hope they get new writers and a new show runner for season 2.

Daredevil (1 and 2)and Jessica Jones >>> everything else. Netflix has been letting me down lately.
:snoop:

maybe you didn't like it because you were skipping scenes with a very important character? that sounds like a really stupid way to watch the show. that'd be like me skipping all the daredevil season 2 scenes with elektra and saying it sucked. negged. :stopitslime:

The Punisher is good at writing the main character but doesn’t do so well with the characters revolved around him. Important topics/themes are brought up but the side plots feeling like they have led you along once you get to the final few episodes. I’m kinda disappointed in that. Just stick to the Punisher if you can’t handle surrounding him with a good cast of characters who can hold their own against Frank’s story.

All Marvel tv shows, even films, should keep the cast of characters smaller and the impact of the villian more interesting. Kingpin AND Purple Man are still Marvel-Netflix’s most interesting villians. EACH SEASON SHOULD BE 10 EPISODES NOT 13!

So after finishing the first season, the Punisher holds up but still has some flaws. Despite that Jon pulls through as much Frank always is killing it haha. He’s the best casting for a Marvel comic book character in a long time, up there with Hugh as Wolverine or Reynolds as Deadpool. Just perfect casting. It’s still a stellar season of The Punisher imo but imagine if it was 8-10 episodes instead of 13. It could’ve been so much better. All Marvel Netflix shows would benefit from shorter seasons, they always suffer from too much slack or unnecessary scenes. Each show would be tight and a have much more sweeter impact if it didn’t need to drag so much.

One of the reasons UK shows are killing it, they have like 4 episodes a season, less filler but each episode is comprehensive and satisfying. I always felt like American shows are made with the idea of prolonging the show/ hitting a episode count versus actually telling the story in the best way possible.
