On the surface, Teddy Yu (Anthony Wong) is a Chinese chiropractor and a single-parent. His kids Nicky (Stephen Fung), a dolphin trainer at Ocean Park and Natalie (Gillian Chung), a highschool student, learn the art of kungfu from their father, but are unconvinced of their father's claim to a secret life as a heroic body guard for retired agents. When the father tries to provide too much and the kids are tired of all the bragging, the family is not going to be a harmonious one. Until one day, Rocco (Michael Wong) arrives in his wheelchair, asking Teddy for information on ex-agent Dragon. Knowing that Dragon interrupted Rocco's mission twelve years ago which cost Rocco his legs, Teddy's lips are sealed. Rocco leaves in silence but four kungfu experts return and successfully capture Teddy after an almost even fight. Drugged and tortured, Teddy finally reveals that the data of the retired agents is hidden in his kids' lucky charms.

Fatty and Baldy are a pair of detectives dealing with a crime syndicate of triad gangsters. After a jewellery robbery, they later find Lai (Carrie Ng), a woman who is associated with the gangsters, but end up getting themselves into trouble for going into the women's changing room. The gang leader, Wing (Lau Kar Wing), learns that one of his henchman, Johnny (Tai Bo), has leaked his secrets so he is beaten up by the gang. During their investigation of the Lai's house, things go very wrong for Fatty and Baldy, and they end up imitating robbers in order to escape from the gang. Later that night, Lai calls Fatty and arranges a meeting at an abandoned warehouse. At the location another fight ensues, followed by a chase of Lai's boss, "Prince" Tak (Lung Ming Yan), and Fatty ends up ruining the English Deputy Commissioner's wedding. Fatty and Baldy are ordered to leave Hong Kong while things settle down, so they head to Singapore. However, Lai, who has turned against her gang, is then killed by a pair of transsexual assassins. When Fatty is about to have dinner with Baldy and his girlfriend, he inadvertently ruins their relationship. So the pair have dinner outside, leading to another confrontation. Baldy deals with two English henchmen, whilst Fatty is fighting the transsexual assassins. In the aftermath of the event, Fatty's father and Baldy's girlfriend are hospitalised. Realising they will never have peace until Wing is stopped, they apprehend Tak's brother at an abandoned warehouse full of gas cylinders. The plan goes sour, leading to a final confrontation with the gangsters. The two English henchmen try to take down Baldy while Fatty uses nunchaku. At the final moment, Tak fires his gun, he hits the gas cylinders and Baldy and Fatty escape.

Everybody comes to Casablanca for a reason, including the mustachioed entrepreneur Ku and the sultry singsong girl Kiki. Ku is none other than the legendary hero Chen Zhen in incognito, who single-handedly avenged his mentor’s death by killing all the Japanese at a dojo in Hongkou years ago. Although rumor has it that he had been killed by the Japanese, he actually escaped to France to fight side by side with other Chinese laborers in contribution to the Allied war effort. Disguised as a masked warrior at night, Chen now sets out to thwart the imminent Japanese invasion by rescuing as many people as he can from Japan’s “assassination list.” He soon finds himself inextricably enamored with Kiki who is harboring a dangerous secret of her own. When Chen finds out that the Japanese colonel in charge of the Japanese invasion is the son of the Judo master he has killed in the Hongkou dojo, his past inevitably catches up with him, as national pride fueled by personal vendetta guarantees the fiercest final showdown.
