Every Game Of An 82 Season Is A Workout

Then You Got Practice, Full Range Of The Team Facilities, Trainers And Teammates In The Gym

How Does Someone Not "Work Out As Much" DURING The Season Breh? :aicmon:
For the life of me I can't understand how ya'll are'nt getting where I'm coming from with this:snoop:

What ya'll are saying is that the level of workouts Amare does now is gonna be the same as what he's doing during the season and that's 100% not possible

And 82 game season is not workout. It's the season. In order to maintain that level of fitness, you also need rest, additional training, etc. There's no gurantee he's gonna be able to maintain that with all of that.

If you think there are dudes who don't just show up to practice when they have to and then play, you're not paying attention. Him working out NOW during the summer is what he's supposed to do. I'm not gonna give the nikka props for that, he's an athlete being paid millions to perform. What about over the course of the season?

Practice? You talking bout practice?

I don't think Amare is DONE, but the end is near. And He needs a great PG to set him up and Felton ain't that guy unless he goes back to his First half 2010 form

Wait.... How many times has Amare come in out of shape in his career?

Since when is Felton a shot chucker?

How many basketball players get out of shape DURING the season? Most players come in out of shape and then get in shape as the season progresses, if they come in out of shape at all. It'd be one thing of you taking about wear and tear on players... That would be a better point, especially with Amare.

Its like some of you just try to make stuff up just so you can complain

How You Gonna Sit There And Say It's 100% Not Possible For Him To Maintain His Workouts With Everything Going On In An 82 Game Season But Then Basically Say He Better Keep It Up During The Season

Now for a serious response
What ya'll are saying is that the level of workouts Amare does now is gonna be the same as what he's doing during the season and that's 100% not possible

1) Nobody said he's gonna be doing the same thing between during the season that he's doing now. You just came out of nowhere with that
2) He doesn't need to do the same thing during the season that he's doing now. Because he's always in shape and playing basketball keeps you in shape by itself (he'll still be working out during the season like he does every year)
3) Amar'e is one of the best basketball players in the league at maintaining high conditioning and nutrition. Comparing him to Raymond Felton is asinine and doesn't deserve the effort of the response that I'm respectfully giving you.
4) Amar'e is one of the hardest workers in and out of practice. Since day 1 as a Knick he's been the first one to arrive and among the last to leave. You're "dudes don't show up to practice" doesn't apply here
5) No one here gave Amar'e props for doing what he's supposed to do. They remarked on videos that showed him working on his post moves and having the quickness that he had when he first came to NY (maybe even faster).

I'm not even gonna acknowledge you closing out with that quote....I just...won't

I know Melo is gonna perform this season, I'd put my username on it :smugfavre:

But I see this Amare contingent is still holding on strong...admirable, but mistaken. The burden of proof is not on me, it's on you guys

We Dont KNOW For Sure What Amar'e Is Gonna Bring, We're Just Hopeful

As Far As "Holding Strong" He's Not The Number One Option On This Team So Let's Not Make Him Out To Be And Then Cry And Complain When He Gives Us 17.5 & 7.8 Cuz It's Not Enough

according to your line of argument, we should be wary of Melo also. Most thought he was gonna have a great season last year...only to watch him put up some of the worst offensive numbers of his career.

Melo's done :beli:

They'll both come through this year imo

lol...the burden of proof is on ppl who don't think Amar'e is done? :beli:

We both know there were many circumstances that led to Melo's poor performance, including excessive arroz con pollo

As you can see in this diagram below, we back to salad :youngsabo:

The pecking order still hasn't changed from 48 hours ago. It's still

1. Boston
2. Us
3. BK
4. Sixers
5.

I'd put the Sixers ahead of BK. I have no faith in Lopez to do anything besides score for them. Bynum's not reliable, but he's still the second best C in the league and the best in the East. Melo is gonna go ham on the Sixers when we play them though. Iggy was a top of the line defender and Melo took it to him regardless, who are they putting on Melo now, Wright?
