My bad. I haven't been following this thread at all. But I just saw something online talking about the Knicks' Big 3 so I thought I'd ask some Knicks fans about it. You seem to be in agreement though so it's all good homie. No need to get froggy. :ld:

Its Cool I Hate The Term Big 3 In General, Plus Im Aware Our 3 Isnt On The Same Stature As Some Other "Big 3's" But The Tyson Hate Is What Got Me

NBA Champion, Defensive Player Of The Year, 3rd Highest FG Percentage In NBA History, The Most Consistant Player On The Team And USA Olympian

And People Stay Saying "But He Never Made An All Star Game" Like :heh:

Man Wally Szczerbiak Made The All Star Team Who Cares About That lol

Considering Our Situation Our Off Season Is Shaping Up To Be A Very Good One

Wanted Nash But We Got Kidd Cheaper And Still Got To Keep Shump

Resigned Lin And Novak Without It Effecting Our Cap

Dumped Landry

Possibly Locking Up A Defensive Big In Camby Who You Know Will Give You Effective Mins

All That's Left Is Resigning JR And Using The Money We Got Left On A SG And I Can Be Happy

Considering Our Financial Situation We Have Had A Very Positive And Productive Off Season

Saved Money, Kept Shump And Still Got A Quality Vet At Point With Kidd Instead Of Nash

Kept Lin And Novak Without It Effecting Our Cap

Dropped Landry (At The Hilarious Expense Of The Raptors Pockets)

Signed A Great Defensive Big To Back Up Tyson In Camby

Now We Need To Try And Get JR To Sign And We STILL Have A Vets Minimum To Give Out
Grunwald deserves some more love for the job he's doing, imo.

Ironically, Stat and to a lesser extent Melo are the only ones legit overpayed. Lin's deal isn't bad at all and if im not mistaken Chandler/Stat/Melo all come off the books in 2015....so go all in for 3yrs and cut bait if it doesn't work out.

In this regard I think All-Star games are important because we're talking about perception. He plays the most talent-deprived position in the game yet has never been recognized as one of the best by the fans or coaches. In other words, he isn't perceived as one of the best Cs in the game.

But I agree with your hate for the term and the Knicks are a good example of why. 3 big contracts doesn't automatically equal a "Big 3."

That's all I'm saying. :yeshrug:

Am I the only one not that excited about possibly seeing JR Smith back. Dude just chucks he really has zero basketball IQ. I understand there's not many options but he's a disaster at times out on the court.

UPDATE: David Aldridge of NBA.com tweets: "Agent for Rashard Lewis says 'everything went well' w/Heat, but process will continue this week before decision. Hawks, Knicks still in it."

With the Hawks headed into rebuild mode, we have to think that they could be the longshot here for a veteran like Lewis who's looking to play for a contender. And if that's the case, this one will likely come down to Miami or New York.

---
Sam Amick of SI.com reports that Miami has "as good a chance as anybody" to sign free agent forward Rashard Lewis, who is visiting the Heat today.

If the Heat don't come to terms with the 32-year-old, though, he will have plenty of other options. Amick writes that Lewis may also visit Atlanta and New York, and that "San Antonio is also believed to be in the mix as well."

:dwillhuh:

He plays the most talent-deprived position in the game yet has never been recognized as one of the best by the fans or coaches.

:what: Not even after being credited as the reason for that Maverick championship? :aicmon:

Knicks Can't Officially Claim Lin Till The 11th But Tina Cervasio Reported They WILL Match, And Her Word Is Gold Since She Works Close With The Team She's Not Allowed To Speculate Like Writers Are.

As Far As JR, For What's Out There Right Now, We Need Him Back

Harrelson has heart, loved watching him play @ UK. But we need to try to get better now, I think Camby helps us more than he does for maybe 2 seasons. The knicks want to compete for that championship.

I don't think Camby is going to play much minutes btw
