yeah direct competition is a good thing, imo. Don't get me wrong I'd rather the nets NOT get howard but I know people who are depressed about the possibility, not me though

Howard ain't scoring on Chandler anyway, Stoudemire should pose problems for their fill in PF, and if James can't hold down Anthony neither is Wallace.

The Knicks frontcourt > The Nets frontcourt
The Nets backcourt > The Knicks backcourt

The Knicks will probably have superior depth but the Nets possess two top 10-15 players in the league and their starting lineup might be better talent and chemistry wise. However, the Knicks should match up pretty well against the Nets especially if they obtain Camby and if Shumpert returns healthy. I believe the Knicks shouldn't be fazed yet.
