JP4 was a solid sequel. JP5 is easily the worst movie in the whole series, the storyline was complete nonsense. I felt the other movies did a good job of making that world feel real and scary as well as getting into some interesting philosophical areas but JP5 turned it into a cartoon for young children.

I'll still see this because I love these films going back to when I was a kid, but my expectations are considerably lowered after seeing the last one. Watching a bunch of dinosaurs roaming the earth eating humans will be fun for about 5 minutes, but then they have to figure out some contrived story to fill up 2 hours and tie this shyt up.

They could have done that basic story but they handled it badly. The villain was a joke, as was Toby Jones' character, as was the dumb waiter that goes directly to a secret lab , as was the cloned daughter being a side note, as was there being yet another character we've never heard of who supposedly was the creator of the park with Hammond, Russian mobsters buying dinosaurs as weapons for millions, when the tech is obviously worth several times that, Pratt being corny and spitting cliches like "let's get outta here", bland new characters, setting all the dinosaurs free at the end great idea... Thats obviously something that should have happened by accident, now that little girl is responsible for the deaths of thousands (more even?).

It really wasn't a good film. The first half of the film was much better than the second half, but I can't forgive the second half.

Hell, why not drag Lex and Tim back while you’re at it?

This all just comes off as cheap nostalgia-pandering to me. Can’t create compelling new characters on your own? Bring back the old people everyone already loves and bank on their established goodwill as a shortcut to writing better characters.

The premise set up by the ending of Fallen Kingdom really lends itself to the original trio's return hopefully the story is really good because dinosaurs on the mainland is a great setup.
