nah. I would call casual fans the ppl who just listen to the "what's popping"/ "top of the charts" rap songs and that's the only way they get new music.

I do agree though that a casual rap fan isn't out checking for new artists or new music and staying in their comfort zone. I've definitely become a casual fan. I used to be hardcore where I'd at least check for a few songs for any artist that was getting a little buzz. Now I ain't got time for all that so I'll check for artists I'm already fans of or anybody getting a lot of hype to see if they're worth checking.

I think "casual current hip hop fan" is better because we're not casual rap fans in general. Casual fans aren't on Hip Hop message boards. We're as hardcore as it gets lmao.
