What was the convo? I'm around Joe's age and it would make sense for Joe's age group to have a heavy NY/NJ bias. During the mid-90s there was enough great hip-hop coming out of all regions for all those regions to have only fukked with music from their own regions. Yeah some fans were more hardcore and willing to check for music outside of their own region but for most places outside of the huge superstars a lot of stations played a lot of local artists.

What's Joe's beef with MBJ?

Seems to be about MBJ maybe sleeping with Joe's ex(no idea who) or someone he was crushing on, believed to be Snoh Alegra. Joe was obsessed with Snoh at one point.

Then rumors came out about MBJ/Snoh and it seems the hate for him started then.

Flip called him out on it a while ago and sorta let it spill it was over a woman. It was one of those off hand comments flip does. They were talking about dudes not liking each other over women or some random shyt. Flip said something like "Oh, so that's why you dont like old boy(referring to MBJ)". Joe looked at him and ignored him.

The discussion was about billboard top 100 hip hop. Somebody asked Joe about what other top 10 would he put on his 10 and he named.the "The Infamous" and "36". Then ice said they had NY bias.

Again, people Joe's age were exposed to MTV raps. If you like nwa, Tim dog, etc, you ain't like the older NY heads who hated other regions.
