i feel like the industry has been biased against drake from pretty early on. some openly, like dmx. some quietly until they had a reason to speak up.

they hit on it in the pod: it's the idea that the kid who would never be considered cool or street or the dude women fukk with, found a way to sit at the cool table and acquire all of those things. not only that, but he's at the head of the table (in terms of mainstream success), so even if you say something about it, you end up looking like a hater.

but no matter how much success he had, or how many women he pulled, they never saw him as someone who deserved his spot. at his core, they'll always see him as a cornball. kanye had to battle a similar perception early in his career; imo, he dealt with it by steering away from the types who could hold that over his head and made his own lane, until they came over to him (beans jumping on cant tell me nothing, for example). drake has always been determined to force their acceptance.

If he don’t like you or you not his friend he gonna be his normal opinionated self. Now watch they gonna touch it on Wednesday Joe Budden gonna introduce the topic and let Mel and Ish carry the topic with some sidebars from Ice,Flip and Parks. Then he gonna close the topic a little soliloquy and some thoughts and prays. Same shyt with him rinse and repeat

That’s Joe Budden and em friend he been up to the podcast. Ish and Symba got that slow mo video of them walking in the club together. so it’s not corny. They tried to say that it’s karaoke night so it’s cool, but when you watch the video it’s him on stage performing the song to an audience.

Like you said if it was someone he didn’t fukk with. They would’ve killed that person for 30 minutes for performing another man’s diss live before the actual artist who wrote and recorded it did.

i sat in there with my hand up for 30 mins because i wanted to go in on the nikka calling everyone weirdos, and the other loud nikka who said a bunch of bullshyt then left. ofc they didnt pick me because im not sideways talkin woman or one of them dikkriding men. they picked a couple of other brehs, but it sounded like they knew them thru industry connects. his reasoning for not addressing this topic is bullshyt. he claims we need a long breakdown of the situation (which they could've done on the fly) but in reality most ppl just want to hear him speak the truth about his feelings for diddy.
