My family split after the grandparents died. I used to be pissed when I’d fly home for the holiday and my mom, aunt, and cousin that I’m closest with insisted on doing their own Thanksgiving instead of doing it as one big family get together. Always left me in the middle having to choose where to go. Then my dad being a diva too. I just said fukk going home after a while lol.

Exactly...the older I get it's becoming my favorite holiday. Our parents, siblings, and kids are aging and we don't know how many we have left so we have to cherish these days.
