Is it?

You give the artist his masters and then charge the shyt out of him for subpar support. Ehh. Last time I heard Stoute he was trying to explain NFTs while clearly not knowing what they were, but promised the label could find someone to help artists maximize it. Mere months before that market crashed, like anyone with a brain should have been able to see.

As purely distro for indies, yes? For maybe trying to get licensed and whatever, maybe/maybe not but it's also considerably more support for what $10 a month vs paying the same to SoundCloud for their opportunities or whatever.

Facts.

That’s why we as a people have a weak claim when we say “it’s just music” when social media and real life actions prove its not.

We need to be HONEST when we know that claim is disingenuous BULLSHYT which it is a LOTTA times.

Imagine defending this KOONERY with a straight face SMH

And I hate how they make this a black issue. The vast majority of black people making music are not talking about killing rivals, shouting out their shooters, giving crime scene details, etc. This is a rather narrow group of people in multiple major cities, and them getting arrested or prosecuted in no way harms black people or "black art." There's this weird obsession with valuing the rights of black criminals over the rights of black victims. Joe has definitely been guilty of this multiple times when dismissing crimes (unless he's the victim of said crime, of course). The predominant victims of this shyt are black people. We've got as much of a right as anyone to walk the streets without fear, go to public events without fear, etc. Yet gang violence and the obscene gun violence going on is robbing BLACK people of those rights. Maybe we should give a fukk about those people instead of the people who spend every ounce of their existence peddling death, laundering money for gangs, and targeting their enemies.
