He needs to go back interviewing nikkas on that pop up shyt and keep it off the pod tbh
I wouldn’t mind if he kept all the interviews behind the paywall

He does no research. Doesn’t ask any interesting questions.

He’s just ask about people label situations and they’re chakras or signs

Joe isn’t a good interviewer to me and none of Joes interview go viral in anyway

Chris is more relevant and has a much bigger audience
so you gotta go viral to be a good interviewer now? :mjlol: That interview with nioh and the one with lloyd banks were better than what we would've got with NORE (a viral interviewer)

The point of an interview is to bring Fans of the artist and the show together. With an increase audience often times something of note makes it past the hardcore listeners of the show to casual viewers

Every other pod is able to produce viral moments of interviews or clips that lead to discussion. Even the pod no one heard of was Able to get the lucky Daye story out of Neyo

I listened to both an neither one was good. Nothing interesting came out of either one

The problem with Joe's interviews is that the artist gets sidelined and instead damn near half the segment revolves around some inside joke/issue from the pod or Joe's stupidity/idiosyncrasies. Imagine being Ne-Yo's label handler watching damn near 10 minutes wasted arguing over the definition/existence of gate keepers. Even after Ne-Yo calmly explained that a "door keeper" and a "gate keeper" are the same thing lmao. Dude is just aggressively dumb and won't back down. Might need to buy a dictionary and thesaurus instead of Amiri clothing.

The problem Joe has as an interviewer (and Nore) is both are used to being entertainers and the star of the show. They both have trouble falling back and letting the interview breathe and just feeding assists when the interviewee starts yo drone on. Instead they feel the need to constantly react which kills the flow that the artist was on.

That’s why Math to me has the best interviews cause he’ll just fall back and let the artist cook when they on roll which is what leads to the best stories. The main interviews of his I hate are when the side nikkas keep interrupting or start arguments about some bullshyt like when they were arguing which burrough can claim 50 Cent.

I'm just trying to figure out why Joe thinks radio and those who run it aren't gatekeepers?? Radio is still a metric on the Billboard charts and there is still a whole populace who listens to radio. The emergence of new technologies hasn't changed that.

Pod fell off so bad.

Joe has zero growth.

Ice tryna get fine and glow up but he’s corny.

Ish is interesting and is the “eye candy” of the podcast.

Is Parks even on here anymore?

I wouldn't say he does no research, although he clearly didn't know the songs on the album, and even half assedly said he "listened to the album in the car a few times." To me the bigger problem is that he views everything as a competition or an exercise to show he sees the man/machine behind the curtain. So he'll take any opportunity to turn everything into an industry discussion. The problem is that he's never really insightful about this stuff, and instead seems focused on pointing out how many industry people he knows. Or pointing to industry tricks he witnessed. Mind you, this is a guy whose claim to fame is being a one hit wonder, who released one major label album. Attempting to lecture a major artist on how radio works.
