I'd have to see this whole response.

But clearly Joe didn't want to actually "get the money right".

If he had been interested in the deal(s) he would've pursued them. He had ample opportunity.

So I'm not mad at Joel and Crooked moving on.

Royce and Joe just mad that they're using the groups name

And they're only using the groups name in the album title, it's still Joell & Crooked project.

Joe talks all this shyt, but at the end of the day it comes down to him not calling back and pump faking that he's about start rapping for 4 years

“One of the sides have to hold themselves accountable” -Royce

not you or joe though? All four of these dudes are clowns.

They've been off Shady for a year and nothing happened except Joe kept saying he was retired and rocye said he wouldn't do it without joe. How that turns into joe and Royce being offended that crooked and Joell thought they didn't want to do it is moronic.

i might be wrong but i dont think the issue is crooked and joel is making music as the other half of the group

they seem offended based on the content of their narrative and the burning of the merch imagery and all that :manny:

Exactly. Nobody listened to that album Crooked I and Joel Ortiz came out with the first time and no one was asking for closure on what happened to Slaughterhouse.
They decided to end the group as a marketing tool for their new album.
I get why Joe and Royce are upset about this and trust me I was ready to blame Joe because these things are usually Joe's fault.

Exactly. They even say “why didn’t y’all make another Hard album”. On top of that, the first episode Crook said…”Joell flew out here. We are killing off Slaughterhouse, this is the death of Slaughterhouse. I can see why Royce and Joe would be pissed.

Years were spent trying to get off Shady. We finally do and it ain’t but 1 year before you nikkas trying to destroy the whole brand. They all played a part but I think Crook and Joell doing this was more damage than anything.

This is one of the situations where everyone involved looks dumb and took an L.

Joell telling Joe to support an album that is likely going to contain a lot of Joe disses is delusional thinking. It’s also clearly a corny marketing angle from Joell and Crook to sell records.

Royce and Joe thinking because they didn’t explicitly turn down the deal means Joell and Crook should just wait around forever is also delusional. If I text a girl to hang out and she never responds, I’d kinda just assume she’s not interested and keep it moving right? She didn’t need to explicitly say no for me to get the hint.

Joe said he’d be interested in rapping with the group again, but not on Shady. But they’ve been off Shady for a year now and Joe hasn’t rapped with the group. If I’m Joell I would have simply asked “okay so what do YOU think an appropriate length of time without us making music together would be to assume the group was deaded?” 5 years down the line and Joe is still retired- can we assume at that point that the group isn’t getting back together? 10 years?

I think Joell and Crook just took the wrong approach. They should have just said that they want to rap together and Royce and Joe clearly don’t and they’re tired of waiting around for something that likely will never happen and need to move on so THEY (Joell and Crook) are leaving the group. Instead they’re blaming it on Royce and Joe and it becomes a “we never said we weren’t going to rap, we also didn’t do anything to remotely indicate that we were interested in doing so anytime soon tho” situation.

Joel came off looking crazy and desperate and fell into all of buddens lil rhetorical traps that basically allowed him to get lil bro’d
I put in the other thread.

These dudes have major communication issues. It seems like all this would’ve been solved with a simple phone call. Sounds to me like Crook and Joel were just tired of dealing with Joe and didn’t want him back in the group. Like they were trying to just inch him out the group and move on but knew they couldn’t just boot him without losing Royce.

They had Joel looking silly though when they kept asking “when did we turn down the contracts” and Joel kept dancing and changing the subject.
