Again what are you basing your initial statement on. In terms of records yea he sold some, including independently. He's got money, I understand that part. But I'll counter by saying I'd bet he's putting more into this than he's getting out. No sponsor, no ads, Patreon numbers don't seem that great. Getting rid of two guys who dared to expect compensation was a good business move; he replaced them with two guys who don't care. But he also has like 5 other guys working on the pod including Parks who he has to pay.

Those deals are the podcast version of a music label distro deal. You get a big check, which you're supposed to use to finance your production (staff, studio, etc). Joe is from the tail end of big music budgets, he knows how to pocket part of the budget.

I know a regular LDBC youtube boxing creator who has 347 patrons @ a minimum of $10 per month [$3,470.00]. comedian tim dillon has 38,871 patrons @ $197,814 per month. joe is surely making money on patreon.

Juan Epstein has a podcast, they just came back a year ago, and barely anyone knows it exist and they have a patreon with close to 600 people. Just using common sense comparison, Joe Budden Patreon has to at MINIMUM have around 30,000 subscribers. And that's on the low end. Let's just play with numbers...

Let's say only 5K of that 30K subscribers are on the $25 a month subscription. That's $125,000 a month just from the highest subscription. Let's say another 15K is on the $10 subscription, that's another $150,000 a month. And let's say the last 10K subscribers are on the $5 plan, that's another $50,000. So that's about $325,000 a month, 3.9 million a year from Patreon.
