You perfectly described Joe. Instead of being like "I don't care to watch it" or "I didn't really have a reason for XYZ" he always makes up some faux explanation that either contradicts something he recently said or makes no sense. You can tell he be winging a lot of his thoughts, then tries to do editing when one of them calls it out for not being logical.
