I still miss everyday struggle. That was such a special time and moment for the culture.
Having that new “thing” to tune into daily during lunch, kept me going for a while. Everyone blames complex but i knew it was joe that was responsible for it crashing and contracts falling through. Joe used to act like a big ass baby on the set when he didn’t get his way. the whole smoking in the bathroom thing should have told everyone everything they needed to know. Even if joe had stayed a bit longer they could have eventually moved the show together to another network like desus and mero did.
Joe is such a short term thinker i don’t know why he thinks so highly of himself business wise. He’s entertaining but thats it, he’s just not business savvy. if he were half as smart as charlamagne he would be so much more successful but he thinks he’s different than everyone else and doesn’t ahve to do what they do. He keeps proving everyone right.
He could have made everyday struggle an entire big deal like first take, everyone watched that shyt. Then he could have still continued to negotiate deals with the podcast and even that would have been worth more money due to his star power. the podcast used to be good because it was a side thing for fun. Once joe started to put all his chips in it and made it his life it became a problem
If hustling backwards was a person, it would be joe budden
