I use it mainly to designate closeness. Like I share the same mom with one brother and we came up in the same house so I always refer to him as my brother. I got three siblings that I share a dad with and have no relationship with at all that I refer to has my half-brothers and sisters to designate I really don’t fukk with them like that.
