Actually I did not. The tweet, poorly written as it was, made the suggestion that Blinken should be taking some performative action on the waning days of the administration, but they're not because they actually support the incoming administrations position.

But it's clear they aren't the same.

The reality is, there's not point because Israel knows that in 7 weeks they'll get whatever they want.

Very sad that similar to the Hamas mission, it is regular, everyday Palestinians that will end up suffering the consequences of both tactics. Hamas will continue to hide underground and the uncommitted voters will live safely in their homes while the West Bank/Gaza are annexed and a second Nakba is enacted.

Again, there needs to be nuance in these conversations. One can both say that the Biden Administration has done a terrible job with their Palestine policy and is facilitating Israel in perpetrating ethnic cleansing at best (and a genocide at worst), while at the same time saying that Palestinians will likely suffer even more under a Trump Admin. The shame is that all of us already knew that.

I think the time for nuance has passed.

The fact is going to war under prepared leads to slaughter.

It's ugly, it's unfortunate, but I'm not wasting energy for people getting what they wanted. Hamas leadership said they expected mass civilian casualties. They just made the miscalculation that their regional partners cared.
