Kasim beat Mary Norwood in 2009 by 700 votes before all the white folks moved in.
Stop, Atlanta got way more white folks than in 2009, the reason why 2009 was so close was cause nikkas didn't turn out to vote near the same rate. This year, that wasn't the case from the numbers alone.

Black elites of Atlanta better figure out how to help the poor. They been running from it but now, it's obvious, do this shyt again and it's over.

Now do you all see how much difference voting can accomplish? Less than 800 people made a difference.

Cathy wool yard was already out pretty much,

Caesar Mitchell is out with nothing to stand on, idk what he's going to do but he'll do something

Shirley's been gone

Peter Aman goes back to his million dollar job as a md at Bain

John eveas just goes away.

I agree and Midtown is home to a sizable group of ppl who are socially liberal at the least. I don’t think anyone has a true answer but there definitely been a shift in the city that has spilled into politics just like the presidential election.

The metro is growing at crazy rate and companies are vying to be apart of it but no one knows where this city is really headed right now.

Not always true. The stats often say when the candidate is one black and one white even liberal whites will vote for the white candidate.

They have even said that is what is going on in atlanta now.

It's worth pointing out that local elections are totally different from federal ones, a Republican can run for mayor of a city and be considerably more moderate than federal level Republicans and get votes from people who don't usually vote Republican.
