Her origins are in DD but they put her in Ironfist for some reason..
Plus she’s a mutant..
All the info I gathered from wiki but can a more knowledgeable breh of the IF comic confirm this:patrice:

She's a mutant that never fukks with the X Universe & mainly targets DD. On the flip side, she's gone after Spider-Man, Fist, Deadpool etc.

Personally, I'm not surprised she's depowered considering her actual power set would make the entire Hand threat that forced the Defenders seem simple.

To be fair, that's what everyone has been saying....its leagues better than season 1 , however Danny is still garbo, and Kolin is the main attraction. And that would be cool if it was called "The Immortal Iron Katana"...but its not. Also the story was contrived and Mary, Misty, and Ward, really didn't need to be in the show - plot wise.

Also;

Its from the comics...

If they would have adapted Brubaker's story in the first place instead of that awful fish out of water with a wack ass rendition of the Hand and an even wacker leader in Bacudo, then the 2nd season probably would have a lot more steam. The fact that Orson Randall is already dead in this tv version means we're gonna miss out on some of the dope interactions with him teaching Danny about the Power of the iron fist and expanding his abilities. But them even aluding to the 7 capital cities storyline in the last 2 minutes has me much more interested than these past 2 seasons. It's easily the best iron fist story I've read.

Eh, wouldn't be the first time they thought Orson was dead & certainly not the first time he played dead so he could get his dope head on in peace.

Besides, those guys at the end were coming at him for stealing their master's property and implied he wanted them back, so he could easily still be alive. Or with the timeskip, Rand has already clearly gained some weight in the Chi game.

True. Would love to see him brought into the story. His travels and expanding the iron fist lore beyond Danny telling a few stories about his limited experience would be much more interesting than trying to constantly fill in episodes with more Meachum shyt.

Just finished the season and agree with most of the thoughts here, a definite improvement from season 1 but still not great completely :ehh:

Watching some of the earlier episodes I was wondering why people were hyping season 2, but the show does improve as it goes along.

Pros:

The action is better. Still not approaching anything like Into the Badlands, but I liked the intensity that Davos brought and the different style of Walker. I know all these Netflix shows are street level, but a lot of warehouse/alley fights cause things to blend together. Could definitely use better settings, verticality, costumes, to really make things stand out.

M & M - Adding Misty and Mary to the season were both beneficial. Misty immediately brings a spark of energy to the screen when she shows up and is one of the better actors on the show. She has good chemistry with Colleen and would be down with a Daughters of the Dragons series down the line (maybe 6-8 episodes). I was really impressed by Alice Eve in her dual roles :ehh:. The military approach with the character was unique and the way she talked as Walker made her stand out from the other characters.

Davos - He brought an intensity to his role and like Mary had a different way of speaking. The way he gave the :hhh: treatment to NY and his drive to attain the Iron Fist helped give season 2 more focus. He did start to wild out a bit too much towards the end :francis:.

Cons: Still not sure why the show has a love affair with the Meachums. I found all the corporate stuff with them last season pretty bad and while this season improves, it still wasn't that compelling to me. Joy's motivations for revenge are extra weak and the brother/sister fighting lacked much of a spark. That dinner scene early on the season fell flat, when it should have been a bigger deal :francis:. They do both end up in a better place by the end of the season.

Bibi: Didn't like him from the beginning and seeing his ultimate fate :lolbron:. Side characters as a whole aren't great or memorable either.

Humor: None of the main characters are really funny and you need that to break up the boring dialogue sometimes. Mariah in Luke Cage S2 is a good example of this, as she not only brought drama but had many funny moments as well.

I did enjoy some of the unexpected twists the show had towards the end :ohhh:, but like all the other Marvel Netflix shows it really could benefit by working to make each episode stand out more in addition to telling a serialized story.

Also Colleen :noah:

This is where they fail. These should be stand-alone episodes or 2 episode arcs at best. It would really make the shows better, since they can't seem to tell a story over an entire season. It either feels to drag or bloated.

But who knew that Netflix cancelled shows. So someone watches all of that other garbage that got multiple seasons on Netflix?

Jessica Jones should be perfect with that format, with her being a PI. You could easily have her working different cases with clients and have it tie into a larger arc. I think I heard some critic say it might have been a mandate from Marvel to have the serialized story arcs, but I could be remembering wrong.

Netflix has certainly been quicker to cancel series in the last year or so, even after one season. They put out so much content, they basically have to :skip:

He's not a solo character. Should been a supporting cast in Luke Cage.
Nah if Netflix and Disney actually gave this into the badlands type choreography and upped the abilities of the iron fist and the hand this could've been epic:ohlawd:Some The Night Becomes us/The Raid witn superpowers :ooh:

This whole concept needs to happen now that you've said it - doesn't even have to be Iron Fist now, something else. You spoke it into existence now
