Ok I want to ask iPhone users something. I have the 4s and I love ios6 ... Sh1t is just too smooth. But one thing I don't understand is why is apple so damn proprietary , it's 2012 and iPhone has no external USB port , a custom charging port ( the f@ck?) , JUST got 4G capabilities , and you have to use ITunes... No way around it. I don't get it brehs, I'm not trolling , honest questions that I just don't understand about apple and the IPhone .

Control.

no USB/proprietary port = more revenue since Apple owns the rights to the design

with LTE Apple excuse was that it was too new when the earlier models dropped aka "fukk you thats why"

iTunes = again more revenue for them since it makes it easier for technophobes to buy music from only one place

we all hate how Apple keeps everything under their control, at least until you jailbreak, but the truth is that its one of the reason the phone works so well since programs are limited with what they can do to your phone

MONEY

Apple rolls these features out in their devices piecemeal to give you more of an incentive to buy. I'm pissed about the Verizon iP5 not being able to do voice and data simultaneously. Guess i'll wait for the 5s to drop but its a prime example of Apple okie dokin to get more money off selling phones with features missing or somehow crippled so they can come in the future and pick up those features and sell more phones.

I need to type. And i need a keyboard to do that. If you dont know the answer keep it moving...

:wtf: Just go on Amazon and search "ipad keyboard"....some are keyboards built into a cases and some are stand alones. I know Logitech makes a stand alone keyboard with a stand.

Amazon.com: Logitech 920-003241 Tablet Keyboard and Stand Combo for iPad: Computers & Accessories

How do I get rid of this stock market shyt on my notification bar :skip:
google it

1. Open the Settings app on your iOS 5 device.
2. Tap on Notifications.
3. Look down the list of apps in Notifications and tap on the ones you want to turn off.
4. When the app's screen comes up, simply toggle the setting from On to Off.
5. Continue toggling until the weather, stocks and any other widgets you don't like are set to off.
6. The widgets you've turned off will now appear under the Not In Notification Center category on the Notifications screen.

Apple makes MONEY off of their proprietary technology bruh. This isn't something new for them. FireWire, iTunes, the original FairPlay DRM, Thunderbolt, etc. are all designed by Apple to:

A). Control the end to end user experience. Steve Jobs infused within Apple's DNA the basic need to have full power over the unit and how it is used. This is to insure quality and make sure that everything works exactly as they want it to.

B).Apple would make NO additional revenue by incorporating a universal charging port, but they make TONS of money from licensing for companies to utilize the new Lightening connector. Apple makes money every time somebody signs up to use iCloud and stream music from iTunes Match, so why would they add expandable storage?

C). Apple has never truly been an "inventor" as much as they've been amongst the best "INNOVATORS" in technology. When 4G debuted it was a battery hog plain and simple, plus the chips used were too big to implement in Apple's famous "Thin is Beautiful" way of designing its products. Steve Jobs was NOTORIOUS for not compromising on design or battery life for anything. Apple has pretty much never been at the forefront of newer technologies that they weren't directly involved with, so 4G, NFC, etc will all take a backseat in importance until Apple feels like its prime and ready to be used.

Pretty much. How long did iPhone users have to wait for even basic functions like, cut and paste, mms, native gps, a notification bar/center? I know there's more, but it boils down to UI elements as well. Only when apple decides their revolutionary then they will include them with their update.
