Its not about CDMA, cause my previous EvoLTE and current GsIII can do it..both on 3g and 4g. Its on Apple

And talk and surf is sooooo overrated...if Apple's implementation means a significantly stronger signal then I'd much rather go that route and lose my talk/surf capabilities.

Both. The port is 80% smaller so that leaves real estate for other things internally.

Including a free adapter with every iPhone 5 would have been a great PR move but they went after the $$$$ charging $29 for it instead.

So they it was worth making the change but they decided NOT to go with the micro usb ports that the rest of the industry uses.

Spent $1600 today on 2 new out-of-contract iPhones.




I wasn't about to leave Verizon.

Unless they don't use USB connectors no more why can u just use the old one. The only connector that changed was the one that connects to the actual phone right?

Yea, it's the port on the phone so assuming Apple gives you a wall charger (you never know with Apple ) you're good....the issue comes with using your accessories like car charger. Either get a new one or get an adapter

My car charger is a special Double USB joint cuz I had to specifically order on amazon that could charge iPad as well. The regular car charger won't charge it. Anyways, if I had the new iPhone, at least I'd still be able to keep the same charger since its just USB ports.
