Unfortunately I've come across some circumstances that have me considering purchasing or rather updating an apple product. I have an ipod classic 5th gen, the video one. shyt so old that it uses a 30 pin connector. The battery was bad on it and I was able to order a new one and replace it and now transferring the music to my external hard drive on pc as a backup. Don't know how long the device will last and know its discontinued so im sure support is limited. I was looking at the new ipod touch. Likely the 64gb version since i have like 60gb of music on this thing. this the only apple product I own and would be nice to have facetime since there are some people like my mom and brother and friends that have iphones for that. every other mp3 player I see out there is ridiculously priced and android doesn't have their own. not trying to fill up my phones sd card with 60gb of music which I do have the space but would take up half the card. So figured I'd look into this ipod touch. Something simple for music and facetime. Is it worth it or maybe a previous gen might be better? What would be the easiest thing for a non iOS user? :jbhmm:

I like using my iPod in my car better than my phone cuz I don’t need my girl knowing who’s calling me. I believe they have 128gb version

I hate this new version and what it did to podcasts. I don’t like the “up next” feature because I don’t wanna listen to every single new pod! I can’t delete them from the library either. :pacspit:
Podcasts got fukked up in the update. the placement of some buttons is annoying and the layout sucks. Also now this is the only stock apple app on my phone that resets if I switch to another app.

thoughts on the apple watch? when the new one coming out?

I love mine. Use it way more than I ever expected to. Still rocking the series 2 and have no complaints about it. New one will probably drop around fall/winter and is rumored to have an updated design.

Anyone ever had to deal with a cracked Ipad Pro screen? I heard if you go through apple, they just replace with a same gen one that you bring to them. It costs $649, but my battery health is at 90% and if the replacement comes with a new battery I wouldn't mind springing for it. I also found a third party service that can replace it for half that so I'm on the fence about what route to take.

I never have, but I would go thru Apple personally.

SINY!!
Running iOS 15 beta on my phone. Having it on my iPhone 11 Pro for a week, and to be honest.......its a minimal update to say the least. Safari with the search bar at the bottom is ehhh. Not really enough features to be hyped about (for those anticipating its public release this fall).

There are some small/minor design changes in Mail, Weather (the widgets specifically)......but all in all, its disappointing.
