Damn..lolEver since I updated iOS, my screen keeps rotating on it's own. Even though I have screen rotation lock on. Also I can no longer see what I'm listening too and change tracks on the lock screen anymore
It's definitely close to normal. I had to jump on the beta a week or two ago cause the 11.0.x releases were so bad.IOS 11.1 is stable and smooth. Battery should be back to normal....
I don't know if this is the right place to ask but figure maybe one of you may know. I'm trying to find a parental control app or way to control a phone. My friend has a teenage daughter who's failing in school due to distractions mainly from her phone. We tell her to take the phone away from her when she goes to school but she says that her daughter needs the phone for emergencies and if she needs to communicate with her. Is there any app or anything that can restrict certain features on the phone for a certain period of time and that my friend can control from her phone? Like not put a time limit each time but a setting that says ok from 10am to 3pm the phone is disabled. Anyone have experience with that type of thing? It's under Verizon if that matters.
dumb phone is geniusI’m not aware of any apps that place time limits on other apps but perhaps using the restrictions functions on the iPhone can limit some of the features. It’s located in:
Settings > General > Restrictions
Turn on restrictions, create a password and you can limit changes you can make to the system. If you want to make changes, install apps, etc. it will require the password you created when you enabled restrictions. With the restrictions you can turn off LTE data, restricted what apps can be installed ( Delete apps that cause a distraction like games and social media apps such as SnapChat, Instagram, etc. they’ll need the password to reinstall it ), and number of other items can be limited.
Or, or hear me out, your friend can take away the “smart phone” and replace it with a “dumb phone” that can only make calls and send SMS messages.
I like the “dumb phone” option the best.
