Not the biggest update, as far as I can tell.

I wonder if this is going to kill my battery life tho

I'm still using the 4 but I'm thinking about upgrading when my contract expires next month. Any suggestions?

The 4s is free if I re-up with Verizon so I'm leaning towards going that route, but I like the 5c and the 5s.

The 6 is probably out of the question since I'm not trying to spend that much money.

Is ur 4 still in good condition? If so Verizon is offering $200 for ur iPhone 4 if u trade it in for a 6. Thats basically an iPhone 6 16GB for free minus the $30 upgrade fee. Offer lasts til 9/30 and if your upgrade date is next month they'll move it up for u as they are allowing everyone with an upgrade date up to November to upgrade early.

Took me about 6 hours to DL last night :skip:

Threw off some random errors about not finding the phone, etc. but seems to be okay now. Haven't gotten to the nitty gritty of the OS yet, but the swipe functions on email are handy so far.

Well, I updated both my iPad and 5c. Took around 20 minutes via Wifi on both.

I wish I didn't now, the new features are nice but the OS seems slow as fukk and it's killing my battery on my 5c. I usually can go a whole day while listening to Spotify without having to charge my phone... I had to put my phone in the charger twice now.

From the sounds of it, I should wait until 8.0.1 comes out. My 5 is doing well for me right now and I don't wanna nerf my battery power :patrice:

SwiftKey is Piff for iOS, not on androids level yet good regardless. I type better on iOS than android, I may get a 5s and call it a day but I wanna check out that sprint spark. And that's only for the 6.

I got a htc one so I ain't getting shyt trying to sell this phone, may as well keep it smh.

Also like the reply feature from text message, just drag down and reply, pretty good. Want something like that for Android.

Those complaining about battery usually a backup and restore fixes that. Format and restore I mean. Same goes for Android after a major update.

reading through this ios8 features list and im seeing some stuff in here that i been waiting on

Batch save attachments - A new Details menu for contacts within Messages shows displays all of the photos and attachments that have been sent in a conversation. It's possible to save/delete all images at once by holding down on a single image to bring up a "More" option that allows multiple attachments to be selected at once and saved or deleted.

Quick access to recent photos - When adding an image to a message, there's a new feature that displays recent photos for quick insertion.

Credit card scanning - In iOS 8's web browser (Safari), you can utilize the camera to scan in credit card numbers when making online purchases, rather than manually entering your credit card number.
