I just got a used Mac Pro

no disk

how do I delete the user and reset everything?

what would be a better place to look for info?

google leads me to believe that I have to pay Apple since I dont have access to the account

yeah I entered a different search term and got the answer

its an older model from 2007

2 X dual core 2.66
12GB
4TB
keyboard/mouse were brand new in the box, owner probably had a better set

huge beast and I wish it had HDMI so I can hook it up to my tv

never used an Apple pc before and I was lost

You would need Snow Leopard for that then, thats the highest that model can go without you having to do anything extreme.

I was able to log in with a new administrator account and deleted the other users
now I just want to restore to like new

can I just download the installation file off usenet and Im set?

and whats with the feeling I'm getting that this is some outdated model? its 4 cores at 2.66 with 12GBs

btw it was from a movie studio and the computer was full of gay porn that I assume where being edited on the mac

it only supports up to Lion, which I gather is a $20 upgrade Apple authenticates

but yeah I'll look into it

I just want to start from scratch and I dont really know how to operate a mac

but man the possibilities

I now have pcs with 2TB, 2.5TB and 4TB

plus I have 1TB and 500GB drives waiting for external cases
