I deleted all my Installous apps, apps from the apple store to (left the few cydia apps on there) backed up the phone, put in DFU mode... Itunes is currently restoring it to factory settings and downloading the latest firmware.

Once it's competed I can jail break and restore from my back up and I should be good.

Currently restoring from my back up, it's been running in the background for a good 40/50 minutes. Should it be taking this long?

This is my third go, failed 2 times “iPhone disconnected."

I left when it was restoring so I cant really help you out but I dont think I was gone for more that 20+ minutes and when I came back it was done

and I mean the restore and backup, when I came back all i had to do was the password and location permission then the jailbreak

The phone is jail broken I just need iTunes to restore from my backup,
The progress bar isn't moving

OTA means over the air

I had problems with a restore once and the only thing that fixed it was completing it on another pc

Apple suggestions are
restarts pc
use official cable
plus in directly to motherboard, preferable the back (no extensions or hubs)
make sure firewall/antivirus isnt blocking anything

Official USB turned out to be the solution, SMH at myself sitting here for an hour and it took no longer than 5 minutes .
